Questions & Answers

This will fit a VW 2 MK4 model. 0L?

It will, in fact. I haven't been able to find anything that it won't work on.

Does this fit a Toyota Camry 2 from 1996? 5sfe head with a capacity of 2 liters?

My Honda Crv was able to use it successfully. I don't see why it wouldn't work for any cylinder head with an over head valve because of the way it's set up.

Is it possible to use this on an 8? Cummins 3 liter diesel engine?

I'm not sure, because I was using an old straight 6 at the time.

Is it true that the will arrive in two days? 5 months?

Within a week, I received mine.

Valve spring tool for Harley Milwaukee 8 valves
5/5

I work at a Harley-Davidson dealership, and when the shop tool failed to complete the task, I turned to the internet for help. I found a couple of dirt-cheap tools that might have worked, but I'm familiar with the OTC brand because we've been using their products for years. It had been incredibly simple. I ordered this using my phone while standing at the service counter. The following day, Prime delivered it, and the unit only sat on my lift for one day. If you're going to use aftermarket valve springs and collars on your new M8 build, this tool is a must-have. It performs better than the original tool provided by the shop.

This kit was purchased to install valve springs on a Kawasaki ZX6R
4/5

It works well for late model sportbike valves and appears to be well built. It was an excellent product. The clamp and threads are sturdy, and the 19mm adapter worked perfectly for this application, compressing the springs with minimal effort. You have to be careful not to scratch the machined bucket bore and head surface, but I suppose that's to be expected. One tip: Accidental bumps can ding a machined part, so a wrap of electrical tape on the adapter and a rubber nub (or tape) on the bare screw end can help. br>br>This was my first time doing the job, so I can't compare to other products. I think a "foot" or pad to snap on the threaded rod that presses against the valve side would help stabilize it. However, this isn't a major issue. The purchase was satisfactory to me.

I recall OTC quality
5/5

In the past, I've used air-operated valve spring compressors, but never a screw-type. This was a fantastic solution. OTC was a brand I was familiar with from my previous work in the repair industry. Always had excellent shop and specialty equipment. br>br>I purchased a number of specialized tools from them for the upkeep of our shop. The quality is still excellent, and the prices aren't cheap, but they won't bankrupt you or force you to take out a second loan.

Excellent value for money
5/5

This was purchased to service the Ford 5's valves. 0L. It really works. The frame has enough strength to compress the springs, and it's wide enough to easily fit around the heads. I would strongly suggest it.

A high-quality tool that has been well-constructed
5/5

This is a high-quality tool with a reasonable price. br>I used it to rebuild the head of a Honda motorcycle. It made the job go much more quickly and smoothly. br>I would recommend this to anyone who is rebuilding small engine heads. I can't comment on how effective it is to work on valves on a V-engine. 8; however, I don't see why it wouldn't work for that head size as well; It's just that I haven't gotten around to it yet. It's well-made, and unlike many other spring compressors in this price range, it's not made of hollow steel tubing. br>This is not a low-cost tool that will bend when in use. This one has a cast steel frame (much like a large C-shaped table). clamp).

Suitable for the task at hand
4/5

The device accomplishes the task. I specialize in Toyota vehicles, especially the 4AGE series. The tool could have been better designed because the side that comes into contact with the valve is prone to marking the valve due to the lack of a seat other than the screw thread. They aren't perfectly matched to Toyota valves and heads, as are most general purpose tools. As a result, they often catch on the sides of the aluminum well where the valves are inserted. This is, however, a minor annoyance, and the tool works fine with a little coaxing - I'll most likely CNC my own adapter in the long run. This tool is nearly indispensable if you work on engine heads, making it deserving of four stars.

On GM engines, it works perfectly
5/5

Bosch has purchased OTC. Otc/spx is a company that manufactures specialized tools for GM, Ford, and Dodge vehicles. This is a fantastic product of excellent quality. On Luv 1, it works perfectly. Engines with a 4 liter gasoline engine have a reputation for cracking heads. It also performs admirably on LS V8 engines. This is a great valve spring compressor that can handle almost any job. I've been using otc tools for a long time because Matco and Mac Tools both sell otc tools with their names on them. For a lot less, you can get otc on Amazon.

This tool is ideal for removing VW valve springs
5/5

A 2002 VW Pipe buggy is being rebuilt by my two sons and me. Before this, I was a C- I bought an OTC Universal spring compressor (the one with hooks that grabs the spring) instead of a clamp compressor. It didn't go over well with VW fans. As a result, I paid a little more for this C-. It worked well as a clamp version. Because it comes with a wide range of retaining cap sizes, it can be used for a variety of engine rebuilds.
