Questions & Answers

What is the place of production?

My call to Lisle was answered by someone who replied that the plastic case was made in China, but the tools were made in the United States. It was very easy to order the driver set over the phone. Here are some suggestions to help you.

What type of sizes are listed? Are they the dimensions of the flat side or the ?

Since there are measurements on the flat side of the seal, you can match the bore of your device in which you want to drive the seal

The bearing cups are included in this kit. Can you tell me what Dodge rear 25 is?

Your bearing races' size will determine the size of the bearings. A smaller bearing OD will need to be measured if it is less than 4 As long as it is 1/8", you should be good to go.

Can this be used with 1988 Jeep wranglers that have dana 30 or dana 35 rearends?

As far as I know, it works on the Dana 30. On the Dana 35, I cannot think of any reason why it would not work. In both axles, there is a similar size of bearing. This should be of some assistance to you.

For ring and pinion replacements for chevy, dodge, and ford, this document gives the sizes
5/5

My $30 set had the wrong size of race drivers for the 8. I also ordered a $30 set with the same size before ordering this. A small pinion bearing for a 6" chevy. A more expensive set has the right sizes as well as a larger handle in order to hold the driver in place while you hammer. You should totally get this setup over a cheaper one for a ring and pinion replacement because you'll be more likely to find the right size and the handle will ease the process of putting the races in straight. When you are doing a task 8, be sure to include this in your text. If you have a 6" Chevy 10 bolt rear end, get this set instead of the cheaper ones. The smaller races are 2 in. The conversion of 11/16, or the ones with 65 mm and 74 mm drivers, will not work with 68 mm drivers. Approximately 2625mm wide. After trying it with the cheaper set, I didn't think I could get it in without it going in In order to simplify the process and reduce the risk of a bad install, I decided to purchase this set. The set I ordered from the Amazon warehouse was described as being in very good condition, so I ordered it. On the other hand, the stud on the handle was chipped and had to be re-threaded, plus there were significant scarring marks Upon examination, it was found to be in poor condition and it needed to be repaired before use. It is likely that the damage was due to the handle being dropped directly on the stud, and the scarring was caused by the bolt being tightened so far that it drove Therefore, you should be aware that when listing the tool on Amazon warehouse, the people putting down the condition may not fully test or understand the important components of it. There might be a chance for you to return it if the condition is not right, but if you're under a time crunch, then it might be problematic.

I found it to be perfect for my purposes
5/5

Currently, I am working for a dealership The bearings and bearing races on my machines usually need to be replaced frequently. It was crucial that I had a tool that could correctly install racing on Ford products, and this tool set ranks high on my list. Thanks to the included install shafts as well as the adapter that makes using the race cups with my Air Hammer an easy task - I am very grateful to have such an excellent product. In the past, I have never had a problem with the discs hanging up on the hub housings etc. I have no trouble slamming the new races straight in and firmly in place. The set is really nice, it's at a really great price, and it comes with a nice case for storing all the pieces. It is highly recommended that you use these for installing races. As well as using these to install dust seals on front axles of Ford trucks, I have also used this to install seals on trailer brakes.

A tool to do the job right
5/5

5 1/2" semi-round The floater 2012 8 lug) and those race drivers would not Obviously, I could have made something, I could have used a punch, but since I just Amazon primed it, the race results came in about 5 minutes later, with no fuss and.

There is a quality to the products in the mall
5/5

The quality of this tool was as good as the other ones that Lisle has produced. The purpose of purchasing this item was to have it on hand for my AAM axles. In my 2005 Dodge Ram dually, I just installed new bearings in the rear axle. My set of drivers did not go large enough for the pinion race, so I had a difficult time getting it into place. As I do a lot of my own repairs, the instructions might be helpful to me in the future.

If you are doing seals or races, this kit is for you
4/5

I find this kit to be very thorough. The majority of the reviews were positive, which is why I bought it. For about $20, there was one at the local parts store. I didn't like the look of it. I think this is pretty good. The ONLY two disadvantages I have noticed so far with using the tool are two The screw that you tighten down against the backing plate becomes loose after about three hammer blows. The milling on a couple of the discs appears to be a bit uneven. It is very important to make sure that there are no burs or anything else that might scratch or damage the race before attempting to run it! Having spent 30 minutes trying to hammer my way into a race with a punch, I was tired. It took 8 seconds to fully seat the race in the hub when using this kit. I find this tool to be worth its weight in gold just for that reason! The case is a standard blow-molded case. In terms of footprint, it doesn't take much up and it seems solid. I-*- *-.

In order to install pinion bearing races, this is the right tool
5/5

It took me a while to realize I purchased the wrong Lisle tool to install pinion bearing races, since all looked alike. I found this set to be the correct one, at least for working on my It has an extension so that you can reach farther set pinion races with this set. You can also use an air hammer if you need to.

Here is a handy tool kit for removing aluminum seals
4/5

There are some really handy tools in this A handle and seal driver made of aluminum. Steel is the material of the pneumatic handle. There are several size options to help you drive the seal driver in square, but the largest seal driver is probably the maximum size to put the handle in square. (Poor machining/quality control = one star. ) There is a lot to like about this.

It can be used for far more than just bearing races or pinions
5/5

1-1/2 sets can also be made with this set It also affects vehicles weighing more than a ton. It is recommended to purchase this set in addition to 12970 to perform repairs on axles and pinion gears of DANA 60 type. In the event that you have not repaired a DANA 60, set aside 3 When the bearings are stuck on, it will take four full days to remove them. Having installed and seated the races and bearings within minutes - this set comes highly recommended. With a flat punch, you don't have to guess what's going to happen You can use the old races and hammer to make new ones. For some of the bearings as well as most of the races, I used the ratcheting accessory. You should not use it on the new seals alone as it is likely to Replace old bearings with parts from the old ones In this case, you need fittings that are slightly undersized so that the seals can be installed.

If you need to remove the pinion nut on the rear Snapon's TW series are appropriate for this application. To measure the TW411, I used the TW421. A 5/16" diameter. I did not have any problems with it. There are others such as GP, Matco, SK, etc. that might not function A separate 12970 driver set was purchased from the LISLE PINION BEARING RACE DRIVER SET. Please do not be confused by Bearings and belts are driven by this system The shaft seals are inserted into their respective If you combine this with the aforementioned set, you will have all the tools you need to repair differentials, such as DANA 60.
