My truck/camper now has a watt Renogy Suitcase portable solar panel. Even without the special tab spreader tool, the MC4 connectors fit perfectly and are easy to connect and disconnect. The fact that the cables are color-coded is appealing to me. For easy identification, they've been color-coded in red and black. When connected to the engine or house batteries, 20 feet is a good length because it allows me to put the solar panel in the front or back of the vehicle. These cables appear to be well-built, and the price appears to be more than reasonable given the high-quality materials used.

This product appears to be adequate, but given the cost of solar wires, I believe it is theft by deception. I didn't bother to connect them. br>I measured them and they were about 19'4" from end to end of the connectors, which was the best I could do. br>Multiply this by thousands of customers, and you've got a lot of shorted wire. It's the equivalent of robbing each customer of a nickel a day - Only in this case, there's a good chance it'll be a lot more. Because it's difficult to get these completely straight to measure, I tried to be generous with my measurements. Clearly, this is not the case for all manufacturers, as I purchased some battery cables that were either exactly the right length or slightly longer than the stated length. Please report back if you get these and they are the full 20'. So don't buy these - br>br> Bad companies should not be rewarded.

I needed longer wires to install the solar panels in the sunniest part of the yard, giving me a few more hours of sunlight before the shade sets in. I was concerned that the additional 20 feet of length would reduce the power output from the panels, but the reduction (if any) is barely noticeable. Excellent craftsmanship. The wait for delivery is a little long, but it is well worth it. These arrived one day earlier than the earliest estimated delivery date.

In fact, the cables were long enough for me to cut them to the exact length I needed (reducing cable length lowers I2*R losses and improves performance). These are also larger gauges than those offered by other sellers, which improves performance even further. Because these have connectors on both ends, halving them gave me enough cable for another installation, as the controllers require stripped and tinned cable ends. This is an excellent product that comes with a strong recommendation. Thanks!.

This pair of cables was purchased to extend my solar panel to power station connection. It worked right out of the box for me. I like that the cables are color-coded black and white, and that all of the cable connectors functioned properly. They simply snapped into place with the cable that came out of my solar panel and the connector to the MC4 cable from my power station. br>br>I just wish it was a little less expensive.

I wish I had paid more attention to the fact that this is a reversed polarity device that requires the adapter that came with it to function. I'm going to order a replacement so that I don't have to worry about losing small parts.
