Despite the fact that the wire and product appear to be substantial, "20 Feet 12AWG Solar Extension Cable with Female and Male Connectors with Extra Free Pair of Connectors," according to the advertisement. The connectors were only on one end of the cable I received (it wasn't an extension). The "extension cable" cannot be connected without the use of a tool that connects the "free" pair of connectors to the cut ends. I was expecting a 20' extension cable to plug into my existing cable and allow me to move my solar panels around. Plus, I thought I was getting an "extra free pair of connectors" that I could use to cover the end of the connector when it wasn't in use to keep the dirt out. I guess I'll have to take this to someone who can connect the "free connectors" with their tools. I was let down.
These add-ons are fantastic! The wire is of high quality, and the connectors are well-built. My only gripe is that there were no instructions for connecting the connectors included. I had to look it up on YouTube to figure it out. So, yes, some instructions would be helpful.
