While inspecting the chains, I found that they are not completely welded. I haven't used it yet, but it appears to be very sturdy. A weld is only apparent on around half of the chain ring split. It seems to be a solid tool, but not the best one. Hopefully I will have a safer looking chain next week so I can update next week. Here's the latest In order to replace the junk chain that came with it, I got 5/16 chain from a local store. There doesn't seem to be any problems with the cranking.
It is a good product but is Especially when it is loaded with weight, the crank can be quite difficult. Although I use it often, it continues to be challenging at times regardless of what I do to change that. There is a lot of weakness in the chains. Moreover, the handle of the machine has fallen There were a few minor issues with this product that shouldn't have been there for the price. Overall, a good product.
My first impression is that the tool is pretty good quality, the welds look okay and I had no problem reaching the bottom of a 383ci V8, with automatic transmission attached (as a package, I estimate it might weigh around 800 pounds. In addition, the chains that come with it are a complete joke. I literally broke both of them with a small slide hammer as I tried to use them to pull dent out of my fender (i had already replaced them with something a little bit bigger and stronger). 1) I would bet that if you tried to lift 4000 pounds with this hoist, the chains would snap. Additionally, the shackle that comes with it is very poorly made, as the pin holes aren't centered, leaving the pin holes to have very thin metal on one side of them. A stamp clearly shows that the shackle is There is no meaning for "93T. ". The weight of 93 tons is 1,860 pounds. The bottom line is, I would probably trust this to lift 1,000 lbs, but I wouldn't trust it.
Ignore the chains as they are dangerous as they are not welded, and have already been pulled apart! The concept is nice, but the length is short, my fault I should've made my own instead.
Good. Would have been great if the chains were a bit longer, but overall, it was OK.
I couldn't hold the snap ring because it was not spring steel. Load bearing rollers on one of the rollers It is necessary to replace the snap rings with better quality ones that won't break. Ideally, the chain should be longer and better. I noticed that the lock nut fell off just as I was It would be worthwhile to spend a few more dollars if you upgraded the design or quality of the shirt.
Keeping the handle loose would cause the nut to fall off.
Sure does an excellent job with the SBC 350. My 1940 Studebaker Commander also used it to lift the front clip. A very well made product.
