The ten ton weight refers to the mass. The shop has a concrete floor, so they are perfect for the use in an auto shop. My goal is not to build anything with them. Having been pleasantly surprised by their quality, I would recommend them. Nearly all tool stores in the area charged $500 or more. It is difficult for me to figure out what type of floor or footings I will need.
In my case, I did not use any pads, I just set the truck directly on top of If you're doing something where you are concerned that the frame will slip, you could use a piece of mudflap or conveyer belt.

The first thing you notice about these jacks is how big they are. BIG as a tank, and built as big as it gets! As soon as I opened them up I was giggling for like 5 minutes when I saw the size of the retaining pins. Due to how large everything is, everything about these feels like a joke. If you compare the size, compare the small 2 ton jack stands to what I would call a large 6 ton jack stand. They are simply not comparable. As you can see, I put a full size shovel in the picture to give you an idea just how tall these things can get. As well as my Dodge Ram 2500 that has a 6" lift and long travel leaf springs, I used these tools to work on my vehicle. Leaf spring travel is so extensive that the truck needs to be jacked up to a very high level to relieve the pressure. A jack cannot be placed near the rear wheels of a Dodge, at least not safely according to me, since there is a curve in the frame just before them. They're very tall jacks, which makes them an excellent choice. Rather than place them in the truck's main frame, I put them in the rear where they are higher up than the rest of the truck's Getting my truck off the ground was difficult without being able to droop the leaf springs and have the 37" tires fully on the ground. These jacks are 42" in height so that they give me enough clearance. Having some jacks to help me take these steps would have allowed me to do this without relying on a redneck very unsafe method. This is a set of jacks that I am 100% confident won't fail.
It was on my porch when I found it like this. Other than that, there was no one else there. There is only one vertical riser and no shelf. This is a pretty useless piece of information. As noted in numerous other reviews, the packaging is grossly inadequate. Imagining what happened to the remainder of this order is a bit difficult.
I had originally purchased a cardboard box made of extremely thin cardboard (like the really soft stuff you would put between glass or ceramic plates to cushion them during shipping) which was inadequate for the 58 pound weight. As a result, what was left inside was placed in another, slightly less feeble box by the shipping company at some point. Over the course of years, the black, adjustable jack elements have been lost. This is a great product. The base is very well built and very sturdy- I would give it five stars! However, I only received a pair of jack stands, instead of a pair of jack Such heavy objects are a sad artifact of full employment to ship in a box with such obvious weaknesses. If the seller wants to make things right, I want to contact them to let them know. However, I'm not sure how to do this - if they are willing to do so. If they did, I would adjust the stellar award. I have both customer boxes with shipping labels and a copy of the warranty card. Maybe they could send me a better box with the jacks.
I ordered two of them for a new truck build I am constructing. The truck needed to be kept off the ground so I could install a lift and swap out the axles without fighting for space in the There is no doubt that they do an excellent These heavy-duty, sturdy bags are made of steel. I have used them for about 5 weeks now, and there have not been any problems. I highly.
One of the support bars on the product is bent when it is delivered. I am hesitant to get under my truck when the floor is already damaged, even though they seem to be very sturdy. The strength of their team shouldn't be affected by that.
The box was ruined, one of the stands hung halfway out, there was no packaging whatsoever, and I was only given the base. The pin and height extender weren't included, and the powder coat was destroyed as well.
In order to install a new drive on the hoist, I ordered the 10 ton jack stands. When the first package arrived, it was torn up, and the second did not arrive. After placing the order, I let it sit for about 4 days and checked again on box 2. As of today, I have returned box 1.
For the support of our RV during routine brake technician work and chassis maintenance, we ordered these 22 ton jack stands. The shipping was free and fast (2 day shipping with Amazon Prime). A tattered cardboard box with a couple of friction holes was sitting in front of my garage door when I got home from work. You don't have to worry about it. As heavy as these stands are, I'm not sure they could be hurt with anything less than a road roller. Whether the paint is scuffed or not is immaterial to me. I expected it to be just like that. I didn't flinch when they were so solid. I would anticipate that these stands will be in our family for several generations, they are so well built. A 4 out of 5 is my rating. There needs to be an upgrade to the shipping container to ensure that these stands won't destroy it during.
