I agree with everyone who says this. According to that calculation, the maximum capacity would be 3 tons or 6000 pounds per jack stand. It should not exceed the GVWR for both the truck and everything inside it, including the maximum weight that can be placed inside of it. Therefore, if you were to place a 2500, or commonly known as a 3/4 Ton Truck, with its maximum load capacity on 4 jack stands, it would be about 10,000 pounds divided by 4, so the weight of each jack stand would be 2,500 pounds. You should be fine. It is difficult for someone to put jack stands on a fully loaded truck at its maximum capacity. Probably not a good idea, but I suppose someone will do it someday.
Stands that are sturdy and good quality. There are a couple of 3 ton stands I have from one of the discount tool shops, and although they are adequate to work on compact to midsize cars, they don't have the height necessary for Jeeps and trucks twice their size. In order to fulfill that purpose, I purchased these. A good weld, thick paint, and sturdy and stable height adjustment are the highlights of these tables. For those looking for more information on them, here are a few observations and photos. 1 . *br1. In order to use the double-lock feature, you need to be at least 17 inches tall. This is about 5 inches tall. 3 *br > It is impossible to exceed 23 inches in height. I am 5 inches tall and I am 4 feet long. Reinforced corners are found at the bottom. 5
. It is advisable to glue on the black protective caps on the release handle if you want to make sure that they do not fall off. The third item. There is a double lock mechanism, which I think is great. This is 7. The head is 4 inches square by 1 inch tall.
The materials they are made from are solid and sturdy. It is so much more sturdy than the jack stands I used before, and they go much higher as well, that's what made me buy it in the first place. If you are getting under your vehicle to work on it, then you are relying on your jack stands to keep you alive as you work. A failed set of screws will crush you with 4,000 pounds of metal. Under the car I feel comfortable because they are sturdy enough to give me confidence in the safety of my feet. In addition to the heavy metal and double locking mechanism, the lock is extremely sturdy and secure. When the car is higher up in the air, it is so much simpler to work underneath it. There is plenty of height on this set, I bought a jack with the highest lifting capacity I could find, and I bought these stands to go along with it. Even though they have only reached their maximum height so far, I still haven't reached their maximum height. It's hard to imagine how high up you can get a car using these, but hopefully you can get a sense of it from the pictures.
I found them to be very effective in terms of taking 3 ton jack stands. I have no complaints about the locking pin.
There have been other jack stands that have cost much more, but these are the sturdiest and safest that I've owned. It is important to note that I cannot overdo The feature of the safety pin should be emphasized. You can find horror stories online about people who struck the set handles with tools while working under the vehicle and dropped the car on themselves. The set handles prevent this kind of traumatic mistake. You won't find cheaper jack stands without the safety pin feature if you buy them. The outcome of your decision may determine the fate of your life!.
As part of my search for a double locking jack stand, I initially wished to purchase the Omega (OME32068) 6 ton jack stands. However, it turns out that Omega and Pro-Edge both offer double locking jack stands. Lift and Shinn Fu America are both owned by the same company. The paint job is what makes them look different, they just have the same design. I feel safe and secure when I use them, especially considering the durability.
This set was bought so I can use it on my Ford Edge and other vehicles. It wasn't a priority for me to skimp out on jack stands because I want to be able to trust them while I am working under my vehicle. The price was good enough for me to step up to these 6 A comparison of tons and less-than-tons Models that have been rated. The fact that there is a rating in place gives me a peace of mind about how hard these won't be to fail since my vehicles won't come anywhere close to that rating. It just does not seem like these things would give out under the max 2 tons I work with. I could see their build quality being excellent. Keep in mind that there are other safety precautions you might want to take alongside these. These are great and I highly recommend them!.
