tried them for the first time [just two since two other jacks were already in use] and all of a sudden both of them failed, and our camper came crashing The good news is that my husband was on the opposite side of the camper from the crash. We were fortunate to have a Stabil Lift system that held up the camper even though it bent the steel frame like crazy! However, we did not suffer any damage to our camper! In the event that I needed a refund, I contacted the seller and Amazon and they promptly refunded me. While their product was substandard, their customer service and Nancy M. made up for it. This was a great experience!.
Easy to set up and takes less time. These are not leveling jacks. Stabilization is the only purpose of these. (If you need to level your R, you will need to use another method. For each of them, I place a 2 X 8 board below, bring them to contact, and crank them one more time as needed to firm them. The following is my response. The truck loads 6000 pounds plus and is at least 6 years old. I went camping for 4 days one day, and it got very windy, so I had to go back the next day It was easy to track the awning, but there was no problem. It took a lot of time and effort to install. Screws that are said to tap themselves are completely The holes must be 3/8 inch in diameter. There are four on each panel. Next, I bought (16) 3/8 course thread x 1 inch long bolts.
The top bolt holes of the frame bolted to the top of the steel, but I couldn't line them up and connect them to the steel. In other words, the part of the jack that extends beyond the trailer side will not extend past It's a good idea to crawl under the trailer and measure whether the jack can set completely under it before you buy it. Those steel plates seemed like they really would fit, and if I purchased a set of four for $38 then I would be able to mount the stabilizer on them then drill and bolt them to the frame.
It was a very clear instruction. My RV has not yet been outfitted with them. I just received them. Both the comments and the listing itself are a bit unclear about whether the jacks are "leveling" ones or just stabilizing ones. It says in the instructions that it is both a leveling jack as well as a stabilizing jack. My immediate impression is that the quality seems to be there I am quite impressed at the price for the kind of product they are. They look good, moved easily within my garage, and look like I'll be able to permanently mount them when I'm ready. While you wait, you might be able to add a block (or nothing) on the top and another on the bottom if the ground is wet or not solid. As long as your RV doesn't move, I wouldn't think you would have any problems. It is refreshingly clear how to follow the instructions. Many warnings are stated, but it is the issue of liability that the warnings are for. The wheel jack should not be used for this purpose. Unless they do otherwise, the best they can be is Moreover, I was delighted to find that the jack has a socket that can be used with a drill for expanding or collapsing it. Saving a few dollars is thoughtful, even if it saves only a few bucks. Moreover, there should be a socket to hold the screws and a template that allows you to drill holes to hold the screws when assembling the unit.
They also appear to be built with really nice In addition to the actual stabilizers, the package also comes with two magnetized sockets, the first for the sliders, and the second for the screws used to mount the sliders. Comes with a jack wrench as well. I am very satisfied with the quality of these, and if I could, I would give them six stars.
As compared to my originals, these are much stronger. Having bought a used Jayco that was 3 years old, one of the jacks had stopped working, and the other 3 were pretty rusted. As long as I had to replace one, I might as well have them all replaced (my head hurts just typing it. The first hiccup I noticed was that only two of the four were shipped, despite having paid for four. The fabricator responded to my message through Amazon, and one of the two others were shipped out almost immediately. I like the CS very much. Installing the system was simple since all the required hardware, including the massive drill bit, was included. A side of the bracket lined up with the smaller existing holes of the original dinky jacks, but unfortunately not the other. I was able to easily carve those first two pilot holes into the bracket, making it relatively quick to do. The stress of drilling through a huge drill bit was unlike anything I have ever experienced, especially while laying on a gravel lot at a storage facility with a lot of weight to the machine. (A note to self If you come back, bring a mat to lay on). The first hole was hard to drill, so I ended up drilling small pilot holes which helped speed up the installation on the other 3 corners. As they are extended, they are much stronger than previous jacks and limit movement much better. But people must realize that even though these are capable of holding a lot of weight, they are simply stabilizers and not leveling jacks.
Also, the travel trailer stabilizers are very These tires are a lot heavier than the original ones I got with my travel trailer. In the original version, they were held on by a bolt and a sheet metal self-tapping This is a very thin, flimsy device. ** I did fabricate 4 mounting plates for the new stabilizers. If they did not fit then they would look silly. I think this is a good product, unless you are prepared to have your travel trailer welded to it when you get to the dealer. There will need to be a mounting plate to attach the item.
It's always a pleasure to purchase things that are simple, cost-effective, and will add value.
