Questions & Answers

If I purchase this, do I also need to purchase jack stands or is it enough to do the job by itself?

In short, yes. In an automotive situation, a floor jack serves the following purpose Elevating a vehicle TEMPORARILY, prior to lowering one or more floor jacks, will allow the vehicle to be supported. Neither stands nor wheels are included with this floor jack. A pair of floor jacks must be purchased Never use this automotive floor jack or any other automotive car jack to raise or lower

The height of the extension when fully extended is how high? If possible, please give me the measurement in inches. My sincere thanks. ?

Height limit of a lift A.) 19-A. A third of an inch.

A saddle has a diameter of what size? I want to get a rubber pad, and was wondering what size I should get?

A hard rubber hockey puck is attached to the floor jack. I bought it from a sporting goods store for about three dollars and cut two grooves into it that cross in the middle (like a cross) Despite its size, the puck is about 3 inches large and fits perfectly into As a rubber pad, my hockey puck acts great, and the grooves I sawed into it are fantastic for lifting my car and van where pinch welds meet. As the pinch weld rests in its grove, it is secure.

How do I remove my motor to replace the freeze plugs under the motor mounts with this jack?

There is no stay on the jack

Having a hefty price markup on Harbor Freight jacks
5/5

After several attempts I have found it to be very useful on my small, low-end device In the It consists of a heavy SUV and ground car. As of now, there have been no issues with leaking or losing height while I only have one negative to report, which is that this is a Harbor Freight item that's being resold here for a huge As I'm finding out here, this is fairly common, since you can market the product as a superior product once it is removed from the store brand stigma, and then make a lot of money on you buy a bunch of tools online, shop at HF and low-priced sources to ensure you get the best deal It is located at the end of the street. You will be surprised at how many of these great deals are actually low-cost items from your local low-cost store You are buying from end retailers for retail prices and selling to you for a marked-up price It's just an up price, so if it's not an actual return, scratch & dent A factory seconds item will have dents and marks on it. My experiences with all of those have been positive.

There is a possibility that the design and quality are One of the screws had already fallen off the cover plate when I first opened the box when I received it
3/5

Despite being smaller than the opening it was designed to cover (for draining and refilling), the cover plate looks like it was designed for, and the screws are not precision machine screws, but In this space you can clearly see that the plate is tilting or dangling. * B 2. It's a little scary pumping for the first time. I began pumping the jack up after I had removed the plastic retaining clip from the handle socket body. After attaching the handle, I removed the plastic retaining clip from the handle. My eyes started to water right in the midst of the first pump. The spring suddenly snapped loudly. I blew up the pump completely after I inspected it to make sure nothing jumped out and hurt me. It seemed to me that there were two plausible causes for the loud noise 1) the hydraulic cylinder is so close to the springs that the springs are touching the cylinder. Possibly the spring was caught in the cap of the hydraulic unit, causing the spring to snap off from the tension created from pumping. 1) The spring hooks were not properly installed in place and it snapped into place when the pump tension was increased. The spring wasn't able to pop out of place, which was fortunate for me. My solution now is to put lots of grease on the tiny gaps between the springs and the hydraulic cylinder in order to prevent friction or wear. The issue seems to have been avoided quite a bit this way.

It's great to have them around
3/5

However, I used it once and sat it down. There are lots of Pittsburg tools I own, and I enjoy them very much. Nevertheless, I only used it once and put it aside for four days, which left a considerable amount of hydraulic fluid on the ground.

A larger purchase is sometimes better than a small one
5/5

It is an excellent piece of equipment that serves the purpose well and is dependable. Despite the weight of my truck, I raised it with no problem! In some ways, I was surprised at how easy the process was due to the double pump system. This lift has a low profile but lifts extremely high, so I was able to place jack stands with no problems. There is a lot of weight behind this The weight is near 100 pounds-- This roller does not roll well on concrete, but it does roll nicely on cement. I don't believe you should buy a smaller jack if you're planning to purchase one! You can use it for everything you need on a personal vehicle, and it is better to have a jack that can do more without putting your vehicle at risk. My purchase is a fairly safe jack to use and I am quite pleased.

I like the quality, it's thin but quite strong, I used it on my SUV with no issues
5/5

the first time I've had to use a There is a lot of quality in this jack. The power of this lift was enough to lift my 2017 Honda CR-V The SUV (SUV) moved with no problems. It was an easy process to raise and lower the vehicle. There was no movement or drop in height as everything held in place. A nice feature was that I was able to slide the jack under the benches of my Husky Tool benches thanks to its slim profile. As well as being easy to maneuver, the garage is spacious. This is a great purchase!.

I find this absolutely ridiculous! This was by far one of the worst Jacks I have ever had in my life
3/5

Coming from a business in Pittsburgh automotive. . . It did not meet my expectations in terms of quality. I was able to raise the apparatus underneath the car after three days of use, and a seal fell off as I was lifting it, thank goodness it wasn't After a few seconds, hydraulic oil started to spray everywhere, and a puddle formed. I was on a strict deadline to complete the work on my car unfortunately, these deadlines must be postponed until a better jack becomes available. MAKE YOUR LIFE EASIER, SAVE YOUR TIME, AND SAVE MONEY BY NOT BUYING.

I can easily fit it under my car because of its low profile
5/5

My own car maintenance is all I do, so I needed the low-profile jack to fit under my BMW's front grille (had a hard time with other jacks in the past). This is a Harbor Freight item (model 61282), and while it was a little more expensive than buying it locally, it was so heavy (74 pounds) that it was worth having it delivered to my home. My car is currently in the process of getting some work done and I'm waiting on some jack stands I ordered. I liked that this worked right out of the box unlike some other brands that I've tried. A single jack should never be used to hold your car up under your car. When a floor jack loses pressure and allows you to crawl back out, the floor jack will lower before you can recover, which can ruin your day. Before crawling under your tires, place something solid under them that can take the weight, such as blocks of wood, bricks, or anything durable that can take the weight. As soon as any problems arise, I will update this review.

I'm glad Jack is doing well
5/5

Jack, you're the best! With the snow plow attached, I was able to lift my old Chevy K5 Blazer easily. I was concerned about aluminum jacks because I didn't trust or want to use them. Seems to be well made, heavy, but it's all steel.
