If you're going to install these on trucks, you have to fold the mirrors in. Other than that I don't see any other issues. *br>We use it on bigger trucks, including dually trucks.
The direction you want the unit turned will determine which way you turn it. I have mine on the right side of my garage as I enter. It's symmetrical in that regard. In order to install it, you need to have good mechanical aptitude, but you don't have to be an engineer.
