It does not live up to the claims made in the advertisement, as with almost everything today. Even though this "funnel" can be used in a few cases, cases that a typical funnel works just fine for, there is little chance it will work as intended for most complex or hard to reach cases. Often, you'll find these types of engines in all modern poorly designed vehicles, when it comes to maintaining them. This works if you don't want it to be anything other than a straight funnel or if you want to redirect the flow in one direction only. It is the same as a much less expensive funnel. The only problem with this funnel is that you have to shape it first. It is very limited in its flexibility, in that it rolls or folds very easily along its length but is nearly impossible to shape along its width. The clay also creases easily, so "molding" it into different shapes repeatedly is nearly certain to lead to it failing long before the claim that it can be molded thousands of times. Moreover, due to this paper's high susceptibility to creasing, you may skip the idea of storing it flat. Further, the edges of the product are poorly molded and rough, increasing the likelihood of failure through separation. This will also ensure that it will hold onto dirt and oil, making the "simply wipe clean" claim unreliable. You would be better off buying a shallow funnel instead of tygon tubing and you would save $20.

The location of the filter makes it impossible to prevent oil from spilling into the housing when removing the filter, as many of you may have experienced. It seems likely I will also use it to guide oil from the oil filter on a couple of my cars (since the Chevy and Ford designers made poor choices when locating these on their vehicles if one wants things to look neat). On my Mooney aircraft, the oil filter is located under the magnetos under the engine and there is very little room between the engine and A simple oil screen was all it had at first.
