We even have one that lays outside, cable under the closed garage door, so plugging it in on the driveway is really easy. In theory, anyone could connect to our network when we are not present

However, it crashed after only two months of use. Plug and play
I am using a 30 amp double pole plug I had for my dryer - it was really simple to install and use - The bmw i3 charges as fast as my foot, and I get a bit more than 10 miles per hour. Using the fast charger, you can charge your car three times faster than with the regular charger.

There was a problem with the outlet, and the circuit It was found that the insulation had deteriorated due to the crimping of the cable, resulting in a short between the white hot wire and ground wire. This charger looks like a fake to me!.

In any case, using this charger is only a source of happiness. The cord (no kinks, no sharp turns) is almost at ambient temperature (maybe 1F warmer on the rubber) during peak current use. There is perhaps a 3F difference between electronics and ambient. *7. MAX Energi (which is made in Germany. Battery 6 kWH) gets fully charged in about 240 The current drawn by it is estimated to be 15 amps. In other words, 240V x 15A x 2 = 240W. Approximately 9 kWH is consumed per hour. So, it's an efficiency of 84%, which I think is good enough. By the way, the length may be determined by stretching the tip from the base to the tip. In comparison to other options on Amazon, this one is not the longest. (It meets my requirement and I don't want the extra resistance that a longer cord would provide. ).

My Volt charges very well with this charger, filling the battery system within about four hours. A very good product.

In total, I have two Level 2 cords (I also have one for an I am using a regular 20 outlet), and this cord works just as well as that brand (it even charges a bit faster than that cord/outlet did, so no issues there). In all honesty, the only complaint I have with this cord is that it is much more difficult to insert/pull out than any other cord or EV charger I have used. My previous charging cords, including the publicly available ones, very easily slid into and out of the charging port. This one really requires quite a bit more force, and I am concerned that it will ultimately cause some damage to it or the charging port with all the effort involved. Even so, I'm going to continue to use it (carefully) as the convenience is hard to ignore.

At first, I was hesitant but I'm glad I bought it. This is a quality unit, with good padding and heavy wiring, and a good carrying case. It works as described, stayed very cool, and the wires never seemed to get hot. During my daily commute, where I drive 35 miles round trip, it takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes for it to charge.

I would highly Using it, our PHEV can be charged to its maximum in 3 hours (the maximum that it is designed to accept). When using the Level 1 (standard outlet) charger that came with the car, it would take more than ten hours to charge. There will need to be one dedicated 220V 30A outlet or a daisy chain setup, as we did It can be chained to the outlet of your dryer. Please be aware that if you do this, you cannot turn the dryer on at the same time as charging the car.

Exactly what I was looking for! The product has been in use for two months. Despite the problems, it It charges the BMW 530E from 0 to full in just 2 hours. About 45 minutes. The circuit draws 16 amps at a time until the 10 minutes are up. Once the drop off reaches 0 it then slowly goes back up. 11 hours were elapsed since level one charger was turned on. I haven't had any difficulties inserting or removing the charging cable from the port. Some reviews claim that the charging port is difficult to access. As easy to slide in and out as the level one charger that came with the car, this is a nice accessory. It is highly recommended that you consider this charger if you need a charger at 16 amps.
