A lot of mistakes were made in the tool's construction. Because it was a loose fit over the jam nuts, I was a little apprehensive about possibly rounding the nuts. * Also, The tool is not suitable for use on Honda V6 engines, such as those in the Odyssey, Pilot, or Ridgeline. It is difficult to use on cylinder heads on the rear of such vehicles. Since the head is angled down and towards the firewall, the exhaust valves are angled down and towards it. A certain number of valves cannot be reached by this tool due to the shape of the firewall and the engine harness above the cylinder head. If you need to access those hard spots, you should have a 10mm offset box wrench and a stubby screwdriver. Additionally, certain exhaust valves at the front of the cylinder head have been reported to fail. Using a 10mm offset wrench and stubby screwdriver at those spots where this tool won't fit is not a bad idea either. While I have some criticisms of this tool, it is a worthwhile purchase regardless. As a result, adjusting the valves in places where it fit was super simple. The jam nut has the potential to round a little bit, but I wish it had a better, slightly tighter fit around it. Another thing I would like it to have is an additional The tool has one spot where you can see where to place the screwdriver tip so you do not have to fumble to insert it. There is an open part so you can see where to place the screwdriver. would like another area to view the show from. I don't think it's a deal breaker by any means, but it would be helpful so you weren't trying to move the tool so you could see where the screwdriver was going to go. It is appreciably helpful to have this tool on hand. There are a few things it could be improved upon.
I appreciated being able to use this I was able to fit the socket snugly on the 10mm nuts and it worked perfectly. The only complaint I have is that a few things are not as I expected. As you can imagine, the rubber handle on what you might think of as the wrench portion of the device slides right off. It took me a few tries to get it right, but I finally dipped the wire handle in Plastdip and it However, I only did it after I was done with that part. Moreover, if I was to make an improvement to the product, I would cut everything down by 25 percent. An electric screwdriver, a handle, and a Because of its height, it was impossible to reach the back valves with a wrench/stubby, so I had to use an old wrench to reach them. In its current form, the contraption would be perfect if it were only 2 inches shorter.
A few weeks ago, my 2004 Civic was serviced for a new head. As a result of the rebuild, the valve lash in the head needed to be adjusted. A tool like this is designed to make that job easier. Truth be told, I think this tool is well made, but I think I would rather just use a box end wrench & socket The screw driver has a slot tip. The only way I could possibly do it would be if I had to adjust valve lash all day & night How much faster would this tool be if it was used more?.
While this is not a must, it makes valve adjustment This makes a huge difference when it comes to speeding things up when doing a CRV without it and then a Pilot with it. Despite two minor negatives, this is almost ready for prime time. In order to proceed, we are going to start with Oil gets on it too easily when you're working on the valves, so it doesn't seem to work as well when it gets oily. Another minor issue will be that it's a tad too long for some locations on the engine and I will have to use a screwdriver and socket separately to get to them where this would not.
I bought this tool specifically to do a valve adjustment on my We were able to do much more with this tool. It only took me a few hours to get the job done, and now the engine sounds incredible. There is no ticking at all, and the engine has over 200k miles on it, yet you cannot tell by hearing it.
It's easy to use here because you can see the valves and have enough room to do so. On the other hand, it is too large to fit into the back valves of As an alternative to the tool, you'll have to use the wrench and screwdriver.
The feeling of improvising did not occur to me. You need to work smarter rather than You can save yourself time, especially if you are doing a job that requires A CRV belongs to my daughter, and it runs like a charm.
My CRV is the only vehicle I bought for this. The 10mm seemed too small until I realized it. Although it was my mistake, I have still been upset so I will leave this review.
