A guage is not difficult to install, it simply requires that you remove the bolt that currently affixes to the test port and then attach the supplied fittings and then attach the hose and guage. There may not be a lot of room between the transmission and the bottom of the car, and this can make the job difficult. In my case, the 90 elbow included with the kit made all the difference.

Despite the fact that this works okay, it does not seem as convenient as it should. It is the gauge reading from 0 to 1 that is the main issue with this item This device is accurate up to 300 PSI but cannot handle pressures below 20 PSI. It isn't in the middle of the range, since the majority of cars run in the 40/50 psi Additionally, if the end of the hose had an integral swivel or disconnect, it would be much easier to screw it into the block. It can be tiring to rotate the whole assembly to screw into the block (especially if the port can be difficult to get to). Brass and aluminum fittings are used in the construction of this product. If you are using it only once, this model is fine, although the HF model is If I were to use the OTC on a regular basis, I would get it.

I like the kit, but it doesn't come with I liked that this kit came with every adapter I could possibly The program worked well and enabled me to diagnose a problem I was experiencing

Kit comes in a heavy plastic bag that can be stored, but it would be perfect if it were cased in hard plastic. A narrow bag is difficult to dig out the fittings you need if there are none at the bottom, and the unit feels bulky when stored. There is a chance this will be stored more often than it is used unless you work in transmission.

As soon as I received it, I found it stuck at 50 PSI. I will never trust the accuracy of the product, so it has now completely lost all utility to me.

During the 2 minutes it took to diagnose the problem, I was assured it was just a switch and not a deeper engine problem. It is equipped with all the different fittings so you can customize it to meet your needs. Would highly recommend to anyone, regardless of whether they are DIYers or professionals. I needed this to help with my first rebuild of the 4L60 (700R4). This was the best price I could find at this time. The kit comes with multiple adapters that fit the transmission's test port. The valve body had some issues that I had to correct so I left it connected for several weeks. Since I haven't used the more expensive ones, I have no idea how this one compares, but I can say it served its purpose well and without it, I am not sure I could have done the.
