The wool was used for applying the compound, the microfiber was used for applying the polish, and the terry cloth pad was used for applying McGuire's (3) step fiberglass restorer was used. Additionally, I used microfiber wiping cloths to remove anything that needed to be removed.
The answer is yes. The quality is good and the durability is good. It is a habit of mine to wash the applicators in the washer.

I use them on my 5 inch orbital sander without any problems. Alternatively, you can use foam pads with hook and loop adhesive over a sanding pad to polish or apply wax and these can also be used to remove it.
The pads are of medium quality. A large piece of polishing compound fell off my buffer while applying it. There is no comparison between wool and synthetic pads. Do not expect anything from them except disappointment if you treat them as disposable items.
I tried each type of cover, and they all ripped at the seam when I tried to install them. I think that 5 inch would be fine. The return will be imminent.
For a Ryobi 18-volt, I was looking for pads that would fit A cordless 6 in. charger for Volt ONE+. It's a buffer that doesn't have a hook. They come with some ridiculous tie-downs and hook-and-loop pads You can put pads on them. I love the fit - they are snug but not too tight.
The surface of the container can be easily cleaned.
The product was great, the price was great, and they helped me make my truck look like.
Replace the pads when they wear out.
