Questions & Answers

A competing product that appears to be identical to this one has stated that it is incompatible with the 2019-2020 school year. There are a total of 21 furrion rv mounts in this game. Is there anyone who can give me a definitive answer to this?

With a Furrion sharkfin mount, I used the same mount on my 2019 Rockwood GeoPro. The holes perfectly match the holes left when the sharkfin is removed. Simply ensure that the camera you're using is compatible with the mount.

Is it possible to plug the wire into the furrion plug from the factory? My motorhome is a vintage model. I have a furrion camera that is wired, but I want to use a camera with a larger monitor that does not require wiring. ?

It will, in fact. The adapter is great, but for my setup, I decided to skip the metal plate. Furrion is connected to my RV as well.

Is this bracket compatible with the Yakry 123 HD camera?

I didn't use the Bracket; instead, I installed the camera directly to the cover outside with the Bracket.

When you figure out how to use it, it's fantastic
5/5

The camera has yet to be used, but the adapter is fantastic. However, it is initially perplexing because some reviewers are unaware that this adapter is not designed to fit the Furrion "cobra head" plastic cover on the camper's back. This is mounted over the gasket that was behind the cobra head after the cobra head is removed. Since the cobra head is no longer there to protect it, I used silicone behind the gasket as well as in the hole where the factory wire pokes out of the gasket. Screw the existing cobra head mount holes over the gasket after mounting the camera to the bracket. To keep the wires in place, zip tie them together.

What I was looking for
5/5

My RV was already wired for a Furrion mount camera, but I wanted to use my iPad as a central monitor to avoid cluttering the truck's cab with multiple monitors. Adapting the camera I wanted to use to the furrion mount was the issue. This adaptor bracket worked perfectly and was a perfect fit for the RV's existing mounting holes. To match the adapter, I had to drill four holes in my camera's mounting bracket, but it was a quick fix. Everything came together beautifully.

To avoid the Furrion mark-up, this is a great product to use
5/5

My travel trailer came from the factory with an install point, so I almost went Furrion at first. The truth is that Furrion is paying your RV's manufacturer to give them this "easy foot in the door. " When it came time to purchase a camera, I decided to go for the long shot. I discovered that the Haloview MC7108 not only has better picture quality, but it can also be installed with Furrion holes using an adapter. I was able to save over $250 on a superior product, and I am extremely pleased.

Other cameras, besides Halo, can be used
5/5

This is how I used it with my Xroose backup camera: br> The domed plastic mounting piece that is pre-installed on the travel trailer came prewired for a Furrion camera. On the majority of trailers, this system is installed. The mounting holes on this bracket are identical to those on the Furrion dome. It is not necessary to drill. I removed the Furrion domed mount, then installed this bracket on the trailer with the Furrion gasket against the trailer, followed by a piece of plexiglass in the shape of the Furrion domed mount (that I made) between the gasket and this bracket. (I probably didn't need to do it, but the plexiglass gave the gasket a little extra support. ) I also siliconed the gasket and the plexiglass piece, as well as the hole in the trailer wall where the cable came through). The Xroose bracket was bolted to the Halo bracket after that. You don't need to buy or make a new cable because the Furrion to Halo power adapter cable also works for the Xroose camera. br>br>I'm sure I've made it sound more difficult than it is. It's a simple and straightforward process.

Everything went off without a hitch
5/5

This bracket aligned perfectly with the existing holes after I removed the plastic Furrion thing and cleaned off the old goop. I just needed to check where the trailer's wires exited and I was good to go. The adapter for the power cord was also a perfect match. The running lights appear to be wired with existing Furrion wiring. As a result, the camera requires the use of running lights in order to function. This is convenient because the camera will not drain the battery while I am parked.

There are several models of Furrion mounts, so check the hole dimensions
3/5

My 2020 chaparral Furrion shark fin mount was not compatible with it. While I was disappointed, it was only $10, and I intend to use it; I simply did not want to drill any more holes. However, instead of using the original screws, the camera should be bolted. The weight of a camera bouncing down the highway will eventually rip the four screws out of the thin outside panel because there is no solid backing to screw into. I purchased some aluminum square sheet from Amazon and some silicone rubber (less than $25) to cover the old mount position, and secured it with bolts/washers (loctite/nylon nuts were also used).

Doesn't work with the DoHonest Camera properly - Design flaws
3/5

Despite the fact that I did use it, this bracket is nearly useless. While it lines up with the holes for the Furion camera, it does nothing to apply pressure to the gasket that keeps water out of a 5th wheel's back wall. This creates a bid gap in the walls, allowing water to easily enter. Water inside the walls of your RV is the last thing you want. The DoHones camera bracket holes do not line up with those on the bracket, which is another problem with its mount. Additional mounting holes must be drilled in the bracket. br>br>In my case, it's a one-time use item. I now have a backup camera, but I'm considering having one made to my specifications. The bracket was designed to provide adequate insulation between the bracket and the trailer's walls.
