It is contingent on the situation. If you connect it to the reverse lights, it will only work when you're driving backwards, but if you connect it to the taillights, it will work as long as the vehicle lights are turned on.
double-check that you've entered all of the information correctly. My copy arrived. It had never been used before.
Yes, I believe so; obviously, one side is more prominent than the other, but that should be sufficient.
It all depends on how big your travel trailer is. Only a 23 is included in this package. 5' wire, measured from the truck/SUV's dashboard (monitor) to the travel trailer's license plate (camera). Then multiply by three to get a total of nine. The wires will be hidden by 4'. Due to a lack of wire length for my 29' travel trailer, I had to return. There are no wire extensions or adaptors available for this model to accommodate longer trailers.

Anyone who can follow simple steps and look at pictures should be able to understand the directions fairly easily. Because I have a large truck, I was concerned that the provided cabling would not be long enough, but it just made it! Make sure you watch a few videos on how to get the cable from the outside of your car to the inside without making a fool of yourself. My panel was a small one that I could remove from my firewall and place directly beneath my steering wheel. In terms of image quality, it's excellent! You will undoubtedly be able to see everything that you require. Obviously, for $30, you're not going to get 4k, but the guide lines on the screen and overall resolution appear to be adequate. I would not recommend wiring the camera to your backup lights because stripping weatherproofing and ensuring everything is in working order can be a pain. There's a button on the cigarette lighter plug that you can turn on whenever you want to turn the camera on, so it's not always on. This product is fantastic, and I highly recommend it.
Before, I could only use the side mirrors on my pickup truck because it had a topper on it. Now I can easily go back in time. The camera's light works fine; the screen is small, but the resolution is adequate; I didn't want a large screen in my window; and the price is fair! I, for one, am pleased.
. To cover the wires when running it under your vehicle, I recommend purchasing a plastic wire shield from an auto parts store. It's split in half to make insertion a breeze.
I had considered installing a backup camera to help hitch up my camper, but the high prices of the cameras I saw put me off. After looking at a lot of cameras, I decided to go with this one from Amazon because of the good reviews and low price. I'm blown away! I ran the wiring to terminate beside the speedometer, leaving the jacks exposed for easy connection, allowing me to store the display out of the sun and easily connect it when I needed it, and the performance was amazing for the price. Wiring the backup lights' power connections was simple, and the kit came with plenty of wire for my vehicle (a 2008 Ford F-150). 150). I'm going to add a second camera to the back of my camper to help me back it into tight campsites, and I'm going to connect it to a different power source so I can monitor traffic behind the camper while towing.
To troubleshoot my error, no power to the camera, I had to call for help. br>My first impression is that you can install this BU camera and monitor for a low price, and it works fine. I've never used a BU camera before, so I'll have to get used to it. I'm pleased that I was able to complete the installation with only a few tools and that it turned out beautifully. The wires are neatly tucked away, and it appears that I hired someone to do the installation. br>I would buy another BU camera from iStrong without hesitation! Customer service is excellent, and the people are extremely pleasant. br>Thank you for your kind words, Joyce!.
So, I wasn't expecting much from this system in this case, but that was fine because all I wanted to see was what was behind me as I attempted to back up my van. Wireless and bells and whistles were not a concern for me. Everything arrived in a timely and orderly manner. I laid everything out and did a pre-install before installing it. To test the system and get a sense of where I'm at, I'll use the hookup. It was all fairly self-explanatory, and if you ran into any problems, there is a guide as well as a YouTube video to assist you. It's a very simple process. The picture quality was just as good as my other vehicle's factory-installed system, so I'm very pleased! It's not the fault of this product, but it's not as easy to install a wired system as it is a wireless system. However, I've read a lot of wireless reviews where people have had issues with the signal and other issues. If you have any mechanical skills, you should be fine; otherwise, enlist the assistance of a friend. In the end, I decided to try this item because, compared to the $200 systems on the market, it seemed like a small investment if it didn't work out. I'd say now is a good time to save some money and give it a shot; you won't be disappointed. And if you're still having problems, Customer Service is only an email away, and they've been extremely helpful.
Because the instructions are illogical, a two-hour job will take six hours to complete. An in- Some connectors and a line fuse are not included. I decided to include a switch so that I could turn the camera on and off whenever I wanted. If you follow the diagram and include the switch, you'll have a finished product. connect your monitor to your hot wire If you follow the instructions diagram, you'll get a dual power feed. Your on/off switch isn't working because the monitor and camera are both powered up. The camera still works after I turned off the power. The diagram does not include the letter U. wiring symbols that are widely used Furthermore, some of the colored connectors provided on the wiring do not connect to the same color. Having said that, the price is extremely reasonable, and the color picture quality is exceptional. Backing up to the trailer is a breeze with the camera. Keep in mind that objects are closer than they appear, so take care not to damage the camera.
I had a wireless backup camera for which I had paid a lot more. It was a real annoyance. I couldn't sleep because of the sporadic images. This hardwire camera performs admirably. a lot better I've had it for a few months and haven't had any issues with it being exposed to rain. And it always works without lag or the problems I was having with the wireless. br>br>Hard wiring is a little more difficult because you must run cable from the backup camera to the monitor, but it is far superior. And at a much lower price!.
