I knew I was getting a dash cam and a rear view camera for cars when I bought them. Knowing that my RV installation would require more wire than my car installation, I anticipated that I would have to do a lot of cutting and splicing to get to the back of my RV. But, on a whim, I went to Amazon and found this 4 pin extension with the correct gauge wire at 16. 5 feet . It was a cinch to use!.

It was difficult to locate exactly what I required, but it is now available. It served as a backup camera for my Togaurd 10" camera. On my camper, I added a second camera. At my hitch, I ran two of these to a disconnect. So I plug it in when I hook up the trailer to the standard cable provided by Togaurd, and I got an extra standard cable to run alongside my tailgate camera, so all I have to do now is unplug the mini jack on the mirror, plug in my extra jack, and voila, my rear view is now on the camera on my camper!.

With this extension, I was able to use my Sony CarPlay headunit to install a backup camera in my nüCamp T@B travel trailer. My headunit supports three cameras, with the default being a backup camera on my tow vehicle and a second camera for providing a rear view when I'm towing a trailer. Clarion CC520 cameras were used in this project. Despite the fact that one of the two cables ordered was defective, the other 4pin cable worked perfectly and I was able to return the defective cable with ease.

This was given to me as a present. Before I started the installation, I read the reviews and ordered an extension cable, which proved to be overkill for me. I ran the wire up the top of the door and through the headliner instead of running it along the floor board and the bottom of the door. For me, it was a huge success. In the box, I had plenty of wire. by carrying it out in this manner.

Connectors do not separate. At one point, I experimented with a different brand. Those connectors were delicate, and internal wiring was easily shorted; this one, on the other hand, had sturdy ends that could withstand multiple connections. there are disconnections I'm not sure how good the video quality is- However, for my needs as a car monitor, it's more than adequate.

This, as well as a 6, were purchased. I needed a 5-foot section so that I could mount a back-up camera on my camper and see what was behind me while driving. I was worried that having too much ability would make the Ithaca image less reliable, but the picture is perfect, and the thin cable was simple to hide under the camper. The cable is a perfect match for the camera cable, so towing the camper should be safer.

I was concerned that using an extension wire would degrade the image quality, but this was not the case. If you have a truck or van, I highly recommend getting this extension for your mirror/camera so you can hide the cable all around your cabin without running out of wire and install your backup camera on the back bumper.
