Is this suitable for a class A RV? My outside panel appears to be 5" across and 7" vertical on my 1999 Holiday Rambler Admiral?

My latch is 4 1/4 x 3 1/2 on the outside and fits a standard RV door that is an inch and a half wide, so your opening will be much smaller, and it's not difficult to install.

I thought I'd give it a shot after seeing it. It's a lot more substantial than the one I got rid of. It appears to be made of a higher-quality, thicker material. I needed to replace a latch that had already been installed. This was a piece of cake. The installation was flawless. Now that I can lock my trailer, I'm very happy.

Our Casita travel trailer needed a replacement, and this was the perfect fit

The old lock was being picky, and we didn't want to risk locking ourselves out of the trailer. This lockset is a perfect match for the original on our Casita, and it only took about 15 minutes to install using the included hardware, which included removing the caulking around the original lockset. It has four keys and feels solid. I'd buy this lockset again in a heartbeat.

The deadbolt did not latch inside the striker plate, which was not difficult to install. To get the lower section of the striker plate to work, I had to grind it down.
