In my case, it was keyed the same way. My friend bought a replacement lock at the same time as I did, and the keys were interchangeable.
I couldn't wear it because it was too big. I purchased a different brand, one with a chrome finish, because the screws were too short.
If I understand your question correctly, it will come with its own key that is separate from the other locks in your home.
If it appears to be the same door that needs to be replaced and your door is within the thickness range specified in the description, you should be fine.

I purchased one and was so impressed with the finish and ease of operation that I immediately ordered a second one for my two-door travel trailer. When the second person arrived, they discovered that the keys to both locks were identical. Non-replaceable key blanks GOOD THING, BAD THING is the standard. THERE IS ONLY ONE KEY THAT WORKS FOR EVERYTHING. Regardless, they will all be shipped, but how many people will have this model/brand lock? In addition, for those who aren't You get four keys per lock if you order a standard blank. As a result, losing a single key isn't a problem. Starting with the first door, everything went smoothly until it came time to close it; the new striker plate was heavier duty than the OEM. It's a good thing, but it's also a bad thing. A ballpeen hammer on a vise anvil was used to reform the plate to allow more clearance. Note: It was not difficult to open the second door. In general, this product is of higher quality than OEM. br>br>I used a Micrometer to measure both OEM lock dimensions and found that there were significant differences. Within the two new locks, they were exactly the same - All dimensions are 002 inch. The issue was a mismatch between the door frames. Extra keys are a big plus, but the lock body and striker plate might need to be customized to fit and close properly. That, I believe, is due to the sloppiness of the RV manufacturer's production line and poor quality control. Simply get it to the customer for the lowest possible price. br>br>I rate it a 5 out of 5. If there are any issues, I will follow up in a year.
We needed to replace a door handle and lock on our camper, so we chose this one at random (from among the many options available). It's been fantastic! br>br>First and foremost, it was delivered promptly, which is always a plus! br>br>Second: if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "innovative It was a breeze to set up. Minimal effort is required, and no "handyman" knowledge is required. Third, we've been on the road for the entire summer, 12 weeks, so this thing has seen DAILY use. We and the kids have locked, unlocked, and opened/closed the door. It has stood up to a lot of "wear and tear. " br>br>I would highly recommend this product and would buy it again if we needed to replace another door handle.
There were no instructions included, but it was very simple to put together. It was a perfect fit for the door of our 2005 Keystone Sprinter. A word of caution: I initially mistook the latch for a broken one because the inside handle would not open after installation. I had to take everything apart to get the handle to catch the metal part inside, and then I reassembled everything. It is now fully functional!.
Exact same one as on my RV, I ended up just changing the interior side of the latch, because on my old one, the red latch was the one that broke, so I only used that part, and it fit perfectly, works even better than the original, which is strange because the mechanism is the same old one, but just changing this part makes it function better, and anyone who owns an RV knows that if the door is not level, it will give some issues, as in my case, even latching is difficult at times. , and we're thankful that we were able to locate these components on Amazon!.
It worked well when I installed it on a Chalet Arrowhead. The door had to be modified, and the jamb side strike could not be used, but the installation went smoothly. If you want a direct fit, contact the manufacturer of your RV. This will suffice if you want something that is less expensive and have the skills to install something that isn't a direct bolton.
It's in good working order and includes four keys. Because I retrofitted an existing cargo trailer door, I can't comment on it as a replacement.
For the money, it's a good deal. When it was promised, it was shipped and received on time! I couldn't do this installation on my own because I'm not that handy. Fortunately, this lock mechanism fit my existing lock space, so no modifications to my rv door were required. I'm afraid the lock was a little off because it's extremely difficult to turn to unlock it. The shipper has no bearing on this. Because there was no type of adhesive or anything to go between the lock and the door, I caulked around the lock box as an added layer of protection to keep moisture out.
We had a pickup truck camper with no key but a lock that was similar. The other lock set was replaced with this one. To replace it, all it took was four screws and about ten minutes. br>br>Note: If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "creative The screw wouldn't fit in the first lock set we received because one of the screw holes wasn't threaded. It took a while to figure out why the thread wouldn't work. I exchanged it for a new one that fit perfectly.
