Questions & Answers

Is there a Siren included in the package? To put it another way, what's in the box?

It includes everything you need. There's a siren, remotes, and a built-in shock sensor. the hood pin, the wiring, and the main alarm unit

Is this compatible with an Integra from the year 1998?

It's universal and can be used with any 12 volt system.

Is there anyone who knows of a reputable company that professionally installs these types of alarms?

Hello, I purchased this alarm to install in my Camaro. I worked in a Toyota dealership for over 25 years, and our accessory department only installed dei alarms that Viper is a part of, so check around your local dealerships. They also warranty the installation for a period of time, sometimes for life, depending on the dealership. I hope this helps.

Is this something that could be done with a Nissan Tiida?

Very nice

This was a good fit for the bill
4/5

It doesn't bother me if it's chased away. I was on the lookout for something to keep the thieves away from my 1986 Toyota 4Runner. This was a good fit for the bill. I'm not concerned about it being driven away, but this unit does include a relay that will shut down the starter, fuel pump, or whatever else you want to connect to the relay contact if the Viper is turned on and the ignition is turned on. When the system is armed and one of the doors is opened, I only want the alarm to go off. With the Toyota, this is simple because the dome light has door switches on both sides that go to ground (-). ) as soon as the door is opened I'm not a fan of door-activated dome lighting. A motion sensor can be adjusted in the system. It is activated simply by opening the hood. It comes with a lot of wires to connect, but I only needed six of them. Brown (to the siren red wire - 12 volts DC constant) Yellow (12vdc with ignition on or in run - the siren's black goes to ground) Black (ground), Blue, and Green (door switches) are all connected to the radio. The white two-pin connector from the antenna/control device plugs into the main control box for the LED warning light, despite the fact that the instructions don't specifically mention it. The programming instructions are extremely difficult to understand. I discovered that the system functioned exactly as I had hoped without the need for any programming. I use this unit in a very basic way and it works perfectly; it also has a lot of other features, such as auto door locks, but you'll have to buy the activators separately. The sound of the siren is audible. Programming can turn off the chirps for activation and deactivation. The instructions aren't great, so I gave it four stars.

Alarm system with a viper I've had the systems installed and running in my vehicles for over 30 years, and they're fantastic
5/5

When you go to the auto dealership and they quote you $600 to install this thing when it only cost you $100 or so on Amazon, take a little extra time to read through it and watch the videos on YouTube. It's simple to install and there's no reason to pay the crooks at the audio dealership $500 for a three-hour job! However, compared to what they used to be, viper corporation SUCKS! Do not expect any cooperation or assistance with questions about this product; they have completely shifted their focus to corporate sales and will not assist you!.

It gets the job done
5/5

Will I order the viper responder 350, and I just got the old version 3305v today (7/21/17), but I'm curious to see how the new one is with the new remote style, but in any case, this is my second viper alarm, and I love it. My first car was broken into about a month ago, and the two-way remote alerted me in seconds. They were so quick, I caught them in my car before they could drive away. However, they managed to flee, and now I know what their car looks like. They didn't have time to get my car, so it's fine. So far, viper has done an excellent job, and I have ordered a second alarm for my other vehicle. I will enthusiastically recommend this alarm to my family, friends, and coworkers. People who ask me what alarm they should buy are workers and people who ask me what alarm they should buy are both examples.

Buy it
5/5

I couldn't be happier with it because it's the best entry-level 1 way alarm for the money. When you disarm it, it unlocks your doors and turns on your dome light; when you start the car with the doors closed, it locks them; when you turn the car off, it unlocks the doors and turns on the dome light. When you press the aux button on the remote before arming or disarming, it goes into silent mode, which is useful when you need to be quiet. The siren is loud, and it has a shock sensor built in. It's also upgradeable; you can purchase Glas break sensors or tilt and proximity sensors, and it's also ready for remote start with the addition of the module. Overall, this is a fantastic system with a fantastic price and a fantastic name. I would strongly recommend it.

The Asurion Protection Plan is a load of nonsense
5/5

After 5 months, the alarm stopped working. BUY THE ASURION PROTECTION PLAN AT YOUR OWN RISK! It's a joke, don't you think? After 5 months, the alarm system's brain decided to give up on me. So I simply disconnected the brain and left the wiring in place so that the new brain could be installed quickly. When I called Asurion, they said I needed to send all of the components back to them and they would refund the money so I could buy another one, but my remaining 31 months of protection plan would be wasted. I explained that I paid $130 to have it installed, that it will cost another $130 to have it uninstalled, and that it will cost another $130 to have it installed after I purchase a new one. They told me that I needed to uninstall and return all of the components to get a refund after consulting with the "higher Ups" three times. They're a load of nonsense.

It works, but the photo shows a unit that is newer than the one I received
3/5

I was given an older/junkier unit. It's a lot farther away than it appears in the photo. I kept it because the price was reasonable. Self-installed in a 96 Jeep Cherokee with keyless entry already installed. Everything functions as it should, and I'm generally satisfied. Self-installation is not for the faint of heart (Viper goes out of their way to not assist you in order for you to hire a 'pro' to do it), but it does have the advantage of allowing you to store the components in a more hidden/secure location. The 'pro' will put it right under the steering wheel in the first place, where any thief will look and charge you a few hundred dollars. If it was installed in the standard location, I could easily disable and bypass the system in about a minute after having completed the installation once. br>br>A note about why I gave this thing three stars: This is a "name brand" security system, but everything about it, from the wire harnesses to the plastic box to the remotes, makes me wonder if I got a $20 knockoff. In a nutshell, it's a waste of time. Also, the range is about half a block, which is the same as any other RKE. I also placed the receiver high up, with only plastic between it and the ground. The Starter Kill (integrated kill switch) works flawlessly, and I'm confident it would fool all but the most experienced thieves (again, because I self-designed it). (It was installed and well-hidden).

This alarm clock is fantastic! This is my second Viper 3305V; the first one still works, but the car was sold
5/5

I keep the sensitivity high because loud thunder or cars without mufflers will set it off, but I keep it on silent alarm mode so I don't bother the neighbors. I don't have a view of my car from where I live; I have to go outside to see it, but the range is incredible; I am always connected to that pager and sleep so much better; I know when I wake up in the morning that everything is fine as long as the pager hasn't gone off:.
