In the title, it is described as having 30 AMP power, but it only has 12 AMP power. The last two digits of the model number 8712 are important. As far as we can tell, this particular unit didn't have auxiliary cooling. In order to keep the electric distribution board cool, it is only equipped with passive aluminum cooling fins. The location of my air conditioning unit does not allow for enough airflow.
This is to replace the one in our pop-up I just installed a 30/20 and a 15/20 but needed a junction box since the panels are too small to do a good job wiring with 4 breakers (2 tandems).
This will replace the old wf-C, which came with a booklet to help with installation Went to buy a replacement for the 8725 converter that broke, and didn't think I needed a fan so I bought the 8712, and it is working perfectly. The new design of the box is lighter and molded plastic makes it a lot better.
I had to fix a few things before it worked. As of now, the item has been satisfactory for me. It arrived broken, but I was able to fix the components, and the seller gave me a partial refund.
A new power supply box is being installed on our tent trailer.
At the moment, I have not installed it.
I found the installation to be very simple and it works well!.
The advertised features are working. This is a product that I would definitely recommend.
