Questions & Answers

Do I need this for a car amplifier in my room, for example, if that power bursts quickly?

The answer is yes. As soon as I hooked it up to an amplifier in my home, the bass was just as tight and punchy as it was in the car. I installed the 100 amp version in my home with a car amplifier and subwoofer. With the included cap, you can perform quick electrical tasks without having to use a battery or a battery charger.

How do I use this power supply to run a pair of speakers in the home from a 12 volt car amplifier? It comes with a 12 volt EQ. ?

The amps it can do will depend on how many amps it draws, but it will work as a battery charger or power supply, and it can also act as both if you have a small sla battery connected to it and can run an amplifier and equalizer off of It will charge my batteries and respond to whatever load may arise. My house is set up similar to it to charge my batteries and respond to whatever load may arise. *if you opt for the battery method, make sure you buy a sealed battery to power a wheelchair or something of that nature. They are sealed batteries and do not release gasses, so you can keep them inside your residence. An electric vehicle of that kind should have a battery that can handle 20 amps per hour. You can use either the UB12180 or UBCD5745 from UPG, both are shipped and sold by Amazon. I have this battery and I was able to get about 12 amps from it for about 12 minutes. Just add the charger and you're good to go.

Anybody know if you could use this to power a device which relies on The analogy would be to an automobile radio or, in my case, to ?

A radio cd player in my RV is powered by this battery.

In what dimensions does the unit actually measure?

In order to run a 40 amp power supply, you need at least 8 inches wide by 12 inches long. To obtain a 100 amp power supply, you will need to add at least 1 inch to the width and 2 inches to the Ensure you leave room for routing the wires.

During a 20-year period, my chargers have been the best I've ever owned
4/5

With a degree in EE and years of experience in electronics and electrical fields, I have been actively involved in the industry for over 40 The real reason I live off the grid is that I have wind, solar, and a large battery bank as well as a dependable 30Kw Onan generator and a reliable battery charger for days when wind or solar is not available. Through more than 20 years of experience, I have used virtually all of the 55A to 100A converters and battery chargers available. This PowerMax series is a survivor and well deserved of a rating of 5 stars. , I own an older version of this product ( There is an older version of the product with fused output outputs of 120A (three 40A fuses), no external voltage adjustment, and no option to select the flat or 3-stage charging strategy. A newer model has fused outputs of 80A (2 fuses of 40A) as well as a voltage adjustment and charging method switch that can be accessed externally. A 30 kW Onan generator supplies power to both units. The grid is nearly perfect 120V RMS (169V p-p Wave pattern with sinusoidal 60 Hz under load p). The answer is yes. My scope allowed me to take this reading, and yes, the Onan allows me to adjust the voltage as needed. There are no other chargers, to the best of my knowledge, that can be connected in series to charge banks of batteries with higher voltages. Here are the reasons I have given it a four (4) star rating In general, both units show a charging rate of *65A when cold, with a drop to *55A when hot, regardless of the battery bank voltage (10). A 5V supply is needed The first one). This ventilation system is mounted on a wall where plenty of fresh ambient temperature air is available, so it is not limited by external heat. 1) The above measurements were taken off of 2) the newer unit could not possibly output a voltage greater than 15 volts The 80A can be blown on the back without blowing the 2 fuses. 4) These are therefore not 100A capable, which is why they are rated as As a result of all of the above, my intention in the near future is to purchase two more of them, when they become available on Feb 28 2018. At the end of the day, I expect to have 8x of these ,,,"

As a final question Do they output the current advertised? Definitely not close to it. Is it a better option than those other makes/models for durability and cost-per-real-amp output compared to other makes/models? Without a doubt! Do the new models have better features and are more configurable? Yes, without a doubt.

Compact, powerful, and simple to use. Please click here to read the rest of this article. The PM3- was delivered to me To replace my lame 13, I will need to buy a 100 amp adapter (100amp). A charger that provides 45 amps at 1 volt I had an inverter installed in my Rexhall class A motorhome in 2001. It was easy to install the new converter, especially since I had already replaced a previous unit, so all the wires were pointed in the same direction The following is a translation of the sentence An AC socket must be connected to an AC cord - The chassis is ground at the Bonding Lug - *) to the output ports on the converter* The converter is attached to the floor with 4 screws (not supplied)

You can adjust the DC output voltage by using a screwdriver to access one of the side walls. The same side wall provides a way to switch between a 'fixed output' and a 3-stage charging system. Tuning the output to 14 was a good choice. This is as per the manual's instructions (and also according to my 6v batteries spec (I have two inline = 12v)). When the converter was switched on, the batteries were charged while maintaining a A noteworthy feature is the output voltage of 6 volts. There is a fan that turns on and off to prevent overheating in the converter. There is very little noise from the fan. As you can see from the video attached, it sounds very loud because my phone is so close to the fan, however, in reality it is a weak whistling sound (like the clicking of As I charged the batteries for a while, the voltage changed to about 13 volts. A 5v supply is necessary to maintain the charge of the battery. I haven't used the converter for much longer, but the first few hours seem to work perfectly and according to specs. This is a superb purchase I am highly pleased with. It was a pleasant surprise to find out how small and light it is.

My regrets regarding the purchase of the PowerMax PM3 A couple of for 75 cents
3/5

My regrets regarding the purchase of the PowerMax PM3 There are several reasons why 75 is so important. The first thing I do is hook it up to a pure sine wave inverter and AGM battery. If 120V is provided to this unit (such as when it is plugged in or if power is restored to the unit), the voltage is spiked Whether 3 volts or more are applied for a few nanoseconds. A shutdown of the protective circuitry of the inverter will result. The bulk charge voltage was lowered from 14 to a simpler level by adjusting the resonant frequency. Is 68-14. In this case, the bulk charge voltage is approaching the optimal level, but still below 4 volts. Second of all, and the one that precipitated me to replace it after one week is that even with a load of 230 watts, the cooling fan starts up at full speed and is very loud. Fortunately, there is a variable speed fan that runs about half the time. I am able to hear this thing anywhere in the room.

The best thing ever! This is a significant upgrade from factory supply at a fraction of the cost
5/5

What an incredible experience! Thank you for this purchase! I am incredibly happy with it. I was hit by lightning when a tree struck 2 feet away from my camper. A huge amount of soot had been collected on the factory power supply. It cost around $475 to replace the original! There had always been a bit of a problem with the original For my camper, I need a power source. had to be careful with the tools we used or otherwise an "low voltage" alarm would go off Among other campers, a fellow camper also pointed me towards this one on Amazon and said he had used it constantly Despite their factory inverters going out, he was able to use his system for years at a quarter of the cost before. Reviewers seemed to like it, so I was willing to take a chance. I would probably consider this to be one of my favorite Amazon purchases This is a little overdone I no longer have power for my camper, so it does not work Does not turn on the cooling fan very often. With nothing to worry about, we can run anything and everything at the same time. The last few days I have been testing it hard. I've found it to be perfect and simple to install. This place is a bit larger than the factory, but I promise it's In the reviews, some people claim that the fan is noisy when it turns on I'm quite surprised. As a beginning, the cooling fan (1914) almost never comes on in my camper even though I am pushing it to the limit. I also like the fact that when it turns on, it makes considerably less noise than the factory one! Fairness to me, I mounted the one installed by the factory inside a vented cabinet while the factory one was wall-mounted - The enclosure is mounted. We haven't heard the cooling fan on in a long time. There isn't much difference there, but it seems like it has been forever. It has been installed and permanently plugged in for at least four months, and I am a huge fan. Despite the relatively small price difference, it has served as a great upgrade at a fraction of the cost of a lesser factory alternative.
