It is a heavy metal box that is extremely study. A punch to the gut The connectors can't fit in the hole at the side, I had to drill a hole and cut a hole in the side to insert them. The plastic cover fell off the first time I lifted it it sits However, I like the durability of it more than anything else. The project is a good value for the money, as you can see, since I managed to make it work. I believe they mean in the rain, it would still work well. Waterproof, no, but it would keep you dry in the rain. It does not seem possible how it would be locked.

A lot of trouble was involved in removing knockouts

Not all of the knockouts for connecting conduit to the box were scored in such a way that they would be easily removable. Cutting a knockout took me about an hour and a half, using a saber saw. Other tools are almost impossible to use in order to gain access to the box. While the various knockout boxes were scored, the thickness of the steel was the same as the main part of the box itself. Be careful when buying!.

It is not a pretty box, but you will have to drill out the entrance holes. It needs dimples on the back to set it apart from the mounting surface, or it isn't going to fit.
