My first step was to cut the old wires and splice the three pieces back together so the new plug can fit. We also included measurements of the spliced back. The problem is. *br>*br>The plug itself is not easy to get into the opening of the RV holding cup, which is 3 1/2 inches wide. Stronger than the original plug, the heavy duty one is much better.
The hookup is intended for a 30amp RV. In my opinion, it is safe for outside use.
My finger loop had to be cut off in order for it to fit within

Neither the product description nor the use restrictions were mentioned in the description (which I always read before ordering). The product was delivered quickly and although it appeared quite light for its size, it appeared sufficient for the I read the instructions written on the plug that explicitly stated, "that this plug must be used indoors only. ". How do you explain that to me? That's really cool! Wouldn't it be nice if I could use my camper just inside? Buying this product if you're planning to use your camper outdoors would be a mistake. I'm talking about a very cheaply made product. It is hollow all the way through. The cord bucket on the side of my camper was too small to fit the pull handle of my plug, so I had to cut it off so it would fit into the cord bucket on the side of my camper after I applied silicone around all mating edges. Additionally, both of these were hollow, so I had no way to protect the connections!.
To replace the plug on my Winnebago Adventurer, I bought this. I like the feel of the product, its size is good, and its instructions are clear. There is only one thing I do not like about the picture, which shows an orange plug and I received a yellow plug. The color orange was important to me. The option to change it or choose it does not exist. As an additional purchase, I purchased the dog bone adapter in case I need to connect to a 50 amp box. That adapter also came in a color that was not shown * I know it's a trivial thing, but when you have invested time and money for certain things to match and you open the box only to see bright yellow, it's a little disappointing. As of now, we do not have power because the previous plug burnt out. There is snow on the ground and the temperature is in the 20's, so getting the power back on is more important than what some wire connectors are like and what my feelings are. It is best to ask the seller to send out a color sample first. That way you can avoid any surprises.
This plug has a neat pull, but unfortunately it is too large to fit through the hole in The end was cut off to make it fit and silicone was applied to reseal it. The new fit is not ideal, but it is better than before.
The plug will accommodate wire sizes from #10 to #6 (50 amps), except if heavier wire is required to reduce voltage drops on long runs. After disassembly of this plug (requiring a thin Phillips head screwdriver), all the electrical connections are This is the current state of With the arrowhead design of the carrying blades of this plug, it is convenient to connect either solid or stranded wire up to #6. It is suitable for use as a replacement or as part of a makeover. It's yours- It comes with a wiring diagram so that you can install it yourself.
Putting these together with a 10 gauge cable isn't as easy as it sounds, but I managed to make a power cable to connect my generator to my house in twenty minutes. In the picture, these were pictured as yellow plugs, but I received them as orange plugs. But no worries, because a highly visible plug for this application is something to be proud of. I taped the cord on the plug to make it tight around it, and it makes a good seal around the plug. Buying the product again wouldn't be a problem.
Rather than replacing the standard 30 amp plug on an RV 10 gauge wire, I replaced it with a Mictuning 30 amp plug. Plug it in. This is a heavy duty and durable machine If directions are followed, it is easy to hook up. Compared to original equipment, it is much better.
Using this extension cord to connect my 3000W crepe maker I have created a heavy duty extension cord of 6/3 strands. In addition to fit very well and being able to be locked into place by the screw clamp, once the rubber piece was removed from the plug, the cable could then be secured by the screw Because the 6 gauge wire was too thick to fit into the slot, I split the multi-strand wire. I was able to make it work by stranding the wire on either side of the screw. I like how it looks- Construction is underway.
The plug was of very low quality and designed poorly for the large gauge wires found on campers. I had to use the old plug since the old one had been cut off. The next time I go out, I will buy a better plug. There is no way to tell if this will hold up during a trip.
