It's happened to me occasionally over the years that I've gotten lax about upgrading and replacing plugs in RV hookups. But recently I noticed that some of my plugs were overheating when used. A new pair of shoes was in order. To ensure that I always have a spare set of cables, I now carry an extra set of main cords, an extension cord, and a set This is a great set of plugs. I have yet to see one.
Matched set is nice, it makes it easy to create custom extension cords. I used heavy wire (#6) so it was a tight fit, but the assembly went smoothly with a little care. Now I have a full 30A supply, instead of the old (but very good) 20A #12 cable that I used to connect my RV to the service, which means that I no longer get brownouts in the 100ft extension It is recommended.
This is a poor quality product. The prongs on the female plug are too short to allow the male end to fully engage leaving a few millimeters of it In addition, it seems as if the female plug prongs bend easily and do not form an adequate I had to send it back because it was outside the 30 day return window. A new brand will replace this one.
My camper is equipped with this. I feel like this is a very cheap quality product that is very likely to break Because it couldn't fit into the storage opening, I had to have the handle cut so I will be ordering a new one from an RV parts store.
As soon as I received this package, I became somewhat disappointed. I was very disappointed that it was so cheaply made, which did not show up when I looked at Due to a time crunch, I had no choice but to use There was a lot of play between the edges so I siliconed around them since they did not fit very tightly and I was worried about water penetrating. These plugs were put in place on the shore line of my camper to replace the ends. They have been okay so far, there hasn't been any trouble, but I am worried about them. Over the course of the next few years, they will be replaced by more heavy duty ones.
I found these plugs to be very well designed and easy to install, and they were also better than the originals. In the long run I think it will likely be worth the price even though it is a little expensive.
Although not of commercial quality, it will get the job done. There was some difficulty assembling it since I used #10 wire. There's no need to worry.
My generator needed a custom length cord, so I bought these. I am happy with it and think it is.
