Several reviews claim this device adds 30 amps to a 50 amp RV. Do not be fooled by such assertions. An RV with a 30 amp service must be connected with a 50 amp service that requires a very heavy item. In some private RV parks that only have 50 amp service you can borrow a shore power cord if you have a 30 amp RV like mine. It is better for you to have one of these beauties instead.
My favorite part of this RV adapter plug is the plug itself! To complete this, all I need to do is hook the RV up to an outlet on the house and then plug the extension cord into the camper. I much prefer the ease of using an extension cord to dragging a 50 amp cord Having enough power to put my slides in or out, run the lights, launch the tongue or jack, and cool the refrigerator is essential before leaving the house. There is no doubt about its quality. It has been extremely useful. I've already used it a few times. I have been looking for just what I need.
For the batteries to stay charged, I purchased an adapter that I could plug into my teardrop in the garage. Now that I have had it plugged in for months, I am ready to move to the next stage.
The adapter is of good quality. There were no issues with the installation. While our 5th wheel has a 50 amp service, we needed to set up in a park with 30 amp power We didn't need air conditioning since it was cold, so we turned off the units at the breaker panel to avoid exceeding the 30-amp limit. Also, there would be the option to use a smaller 30 amp generator if necessary.
When I visited my parents between trips, I had to convert from 30 amp to 15/20 amp I needed to recharge my motorhome batteries, as well as keep my fridge functioning. It was not something I expected to find and I am grateful to have found if my AC kicks in, this connector will not melt, and my outlets have been wired to handle 20 amps, so if I forget to shut off the AC, I am not forced to panic, it will be fine until I can turn it off. Keeping your battery tended, as well as less demanding electronics, this is a good option for keeping your battery charged. I would not recommend it for full-time hookup, on a 30 amp coach.
Watching a couple of YouTube videos for RV newbies gave me some insight. As of today, it has In Texas, we're camping at a campground secluded from the rest of the world, and a 30-amp site was all that we were offered, but we didn't really enjoy it since it was so crowded on Within a few days I asked the owner if there was an empty site with more privacy in which we could move. it would be fine, but the problem was that it had only 50 amp service. I remembered that I had bought this adapter and it had been stored away. Our vacation was saved by this adapter as we have slept like babies in our newly acquired privacy. We recommend this adapter for anyone who is looking for a great way to sleep privately.
The 30 amp to 50 amp RV plug adapter helped me use my Model S at a campground that had RV electrical hookups. Most RV campgrounds provide both 30 amp and 50 amp outlets. Some older campgrounds only have 30 amp outlets, so this doggone power adapter will be useful. A purchase of one would be appropriate if a person plans to travel in an electric vehicle where superchargers and other high speed chargers are limited (e. g.
