Questions & Answers

The lights in this room could be dimmed, is that possible?

As a dome light for my motorhome, it is bright and easy to install, but I have never tried to tie the wire into

They come with a black base, right?

It is possible for them. You can also choose a black base if you want to change the color.

Do you know how many amps it uses?

A trailer on which I have two is on my way. Combined, they have a pulling force of Approximately 1,200 square feet of space around my trailer will be illuminated by just eight amps of power.

What is the difference between waterproofing and water resistance?

The material is resistant to water. Between the body and the lens, I recommend applying a bead of silicone caulking. In this way, there won't be any doubts.

Exactly what I wanted
5/5

You can use an inside switch if you have one. It was very easy to install the light In fact, most of the time was spent taking off the old incandescent light which was covered in a bunch of silicone. There is a very bright light, the lenses are easy to swap, and they are Up until the point when I turned it off, I was extremely satisfied. Considering that the light I replaced did not have a switch inside, I had to replace it with a light that has As I ran my finger along the underside of this light, there was no sign of a switch. The switch is not on. This means that it will always be on if the camper is on battery power This won't work for me since I want to be able to turn it off. The product did what it was described to do very well, so I gave it 5 stars. Because I didn't read the description, the fault is mine. Today, you can buy the equivalent that has an external switch.

The color is nice and bright
5/5

I lost power to the outside light on my RV. It was a broken socket that revealed itself to me when I tried to replace the bulb. The LED unit I purchased replaced the socket instead of having it replaced. Getting the software installed was a fairly straightforward process. My only issue was using the same screws and mounting holes as the old light, so I had to drill four new holes which corresponded well to the old light. This light is very bright and I am very pleased with it. The new light is much brighter than the old one, now that the amber lens is in place.

The lenses are loose, so they are likely to fall out on the road without modification (simple alterations)
3/5

From other reviews, this may not be a problem for every single one of the orders that the seller ships. As for the ones I received, the lenses would not snap into place securely, so you would need to push off the cap to remove them. The center is not strong enough to hold them, and they fall out of the housing. In no way will these lenses stay in place on a road trip. Having said that, the solution is fairly straightforward. Heat the plastic lenses up in the area around the tabs and gently move them outward a hair at a time to soften them. The problem has been resolved. The three stars are because they are bright, hardy, and are otherwise an excellent deal at ten dollars each.

The light is extremely bright, many times brighter than stock lights
4/5

Brighter than the stock light and many times brighter than the original. Is just what we wanted to brighten up the front porch under the awning, no changes needed. The old fixture can be switched out fairly easily. In my opinion, the only reason I did not give it 5 stars was that only two of the four holes corresponded to the original For the holes that don't line up perfectly, it's easy to drill two small pilot holes. Another negative is that it does not come with a rubber gasket to ensure it is watertight. To have a gasket on the light fixture, I am prepared to pay a few dollars more. It was fixed by using clear silicone to make it water resistant.
Overall, it was a good replacement and I am happy that it worked out. It's going to be the easiest way to brighten up the outside of your RV if you really want to add some color.

I like it a lot! Compared to the stock light on my camper, this light is much brighter and much easier to install
5/5

But don't reverse the wires as I did at first, as you won't be able to use it. In any case, I see people complaining it does not have a gasket, well, it is actually a sealed unit from the back, so there is no need for one. To keep moisture from coming through the camper wall, you may want to apply a thin layer of silicone cak around the screw holes.

A good replacement for OEM parts
5/5

It is virtually identical to the LED porch lights on our Winnebago Journey 2007 , which are the same shape and size. To match the color of the coach, we bought white spray paint and painted it. There is just one difference between the mounting screw holes and their OEM counterparts. My solution was to epoxy over the old holes and reinstall them As drills. There was an issue with lack of mounting gasket in several reviews, so individuals applied a thin layer of silicone sealant. That wouldn't be a good idea. With the light, you are protected from the rain. Water would certainly be trapped in the light housing by that bead of silicone. If you decide to mount your TV on your wall, REMEMBER to seal the hole in the wall where the power cables Is there a way to make them This outside RV light fixture has exactly the right amount of light. It is perhaps a little too bright with the clear lens when you are boondocking, which is why it has an included amber lens.

Replace with modifications and make it good
3/5

I noticed right away how bright this light is compared to the old porch light on my travel trailer. I really like it! According to our rating, it will leak if left as it is. That is why it only gets three stars. It is impossible to seal the mounting flange against the wall with butyl tape because it has a hard edge without a flat edge. easily, but although they would probably not fall out on the road, they may function as a source of rainwater entering the fixture and possibly the tent. Then I wrapped caulk around the light and doubled the eternabond tape around the mounting edge on the camper side to repair this. My technique for filling the gap between the glass and fixture was to roll a narrow piece of Eternabond double sided tape between my hands and roll it to the thickness of a string, then push it into the opening. could not change the lens quickly, but I used the amber lens which is great for attracting light and if I used a white lens it would attract more bugs, which would be problematic.

Dimensions listed on the website are incorrect
5/5

Thanks to this unit, I am very happy with the light output. Five watts are used to power the bulb and the light is very bright. It says in the Amazon description that the product has measurements of 5" X 2" X 2", and I have no idea how these numbers came about. Exactly the same as the light I removed, the base of the new light was also identical. There are five of them. The number 875 multiplied by three is 361. Take 375 x 1 and multiply by 6. It comes with two lenses instead of one, but the lens on the new light is a little longer than the old one. I had to make new screw holes for the two bottom screws because the screw holes on the top two screws were exactly aligned.
