In my motor home, I did not experience any problems with my light fixture. In this case, they are not protected.
Because I didn't want to melt the plastic cover, I had to use a 1003 long life bulb. They can last a few days, but it is hard to find ones that last longer. In the compartment for the water pump, the light serves as a means to avoid it freezing. The temperature should be raised by at least 10 deg.
They must be at least 14 years old, yes. It will be 4 watts since they are brighter, and yes, it will be on an older RV. The ones from my older 5th wheel trailer are the same
I have a 2001 Ford Dutchman motorhome with these and they work perfectly.

As part of restocking my RV for future use, I ordered these bulbs in 2017. The package I opened today, May 2019, contained some bulbs that had to be replaced. Camco 54788 Replacement 1141 - B002UC6NFM is clearly labeled on the box. This box contains 10 units (each individual contact point has a different shape). Ten of the 1142 bulbs are included inside the box with two contact points each. Make sure your box is in good condition when it is delivered!.
My 1991 Bounder RV was perfectly suited to the adapter. It came with 2 broken bulbs that broke in shipping. The rest, however, was perfect.

There is something about these bulbs that I love. For the past seven or eight years, I have lived under LED lights. ended up going back in time. And of course After being blind for so long, I can now see. As a result of my epilepsy, I have suffered from extremely bad headaches. It's been a while since I switched I have not had a Changing to LED is never again an option for me.

At this price, I bought two packs to have spares for when I run out. Having spares saves me time from having to run to Walmart or an auto store. While it is not as important as my front entrance, I would still like to replace it for the sake of it.
that these would not be 1141 bulbs since some reviews suggested they would not be. Also, I wondered if they were knockoffs. However, the inscription does indicate they are from Camco and the code appears to be 1141. Fits exactly the same way as off the shelf packages purchased from a dealer. The brightness and durability of the lamps have not yet been tested.
All of them were packaged well and none of them were damaged. The only issue I had was that one of the bulbs I installed exploded when the light was turned on. It worked when the rest of them and the one I replaced it with did, but the third one shook all over my room like a shot glass.
Not sure how well the bulbs emit light, but I use them in an old set of Yorkville pro audio speakers that utilize this bulb as an inline fuse. This makes sure that the high frequency driver (horn) will not fail if it is.
