Sadly, after troubleshooting this harness for a while, I discovered that the color coding does not match the wires. The white wire is ground, which is correct, and the red wire is power. The blue represents the trailer brakes, whereas the red shows the left turn / stop, the brown shows the right turn / stop, the green reflects motion, and the yellow indicates reverse. The black wire is 12 volt hot, or at least it is It is not a product I would recommend.
I bought it to replace my stock trailer cord on a 19' Big Tex trailer, but it turned out to be a really poor product. color of the wiring in the harness is incorrect, so. When I first wired my trailer, all of my lights just weren't working Turn signals on the right are accompanied by reverse lights, for example). Spending hours getting to the bottom of the problem Troubleshooting the connections and matching my stock trailer wires to different colored wires in the cord. Long story short, I spent an extra $10 to buy a better product that is assembled properly.
The quality of the product is excellent. The color coding does not make sense to me as a reason to rate it poorly. In the trailer industry, there is hardly any standardized color coding (it is improving, but is still far from perfect) and any provider who constantly relies on how colors are used risks getting into.
A boat trailer was fitted with a new cable after an old one was broken. It worked like a charm. It has been mapped to the wire color code though since the pattern of the contacts is Making connections faster isn't always standard. Structuring files in this way saves time.
In keeping with our previous reviews, it was not a color-enabled display According to standard US practice, but the power (black) and ground (white) leads are of an appropriately heavy gauge compared to the rest of the leads. A meter and terminal block are needed for the rest. As a result, the cable itself has been excellent and is of the size I wanted.
In the picture, it shows female ends the ends I got were male.
I simply spliced it in to replace the old one and it worked great!.
Bought it for a trailer rewire.
