it will use the same cord and convert the 30 amp male to a 50 amp male if you already have a 50 foot cord with a 30 amp male end.
There should still be a surge protector since this only changes the male end of the plug from three wires (30 amps) to four wires (50 amps). When you plug a 30-amp power supply into a 50-amp circuit, you could draw more power than the 30 amp power supply can handle and possibly cause damage to the system before fuses or circuit breakers
I do not believe you should use a TT-type device to achieve this 30 pcs of 30 amps, plug-in 30 pcs of 50 amps, 14-pcs

Those who are interested should know the following Plugging a 50 amp male plug from your RV cord into a 30 amp pigtail adapter is what you'll need to use the pigtail type A hook hangs outside the campground RV power box to hold the adapter. A section of your 50 amp male plug is exposed to the weather where it plugs into your 30 amp female plug. There is the possibility that rainwater will drain down the cable and into the male/female plug, which can cause serious damage. Not good if you have shorted and or burned plugs. Using this solid adapter, you can leave the entire assembly inside and under the cover of the RV power panel. Although the weight of the 50 amp plug sticking further from the RV receptacle can cause the adapter/plug assembly to bend or even fall out of the receptacle, due to the weight of the 50 amp plug. To repair this problem, you need to wrap a bungee cord around the 50 amp plug (or through the hole in the pull out handle) all the way around the All of the materials are held tightly inside of the receptacle this way. I really like how this works. Moreover, these solid adapters are significantly cheaper than pigtail types, and they have the same purpose as well. The spare is cheap enough to keep in a handy place.
When I opened the package, the copper connectors were blackened and I wanted to clean them up before using them. As I mentioned above, this was not the right fit for car charging and I returned it.
If you are going camping, it is important to be prepared. My response was that I didn't like the idea of buying a 50A to 30A dogbone adapter. It may not be used that much, as it is too expensive. I found this to be perfect for my needs!.
This device is small and compact, and I purchased it so a friend could hook up for a few days. It worked perfectly! In order to allow her to carry it while visiting other friends, I am buying another as a gift.
Adapter is constructed very well and is heavy duty. In my search, I found a 50 amp hookup that did not have a 30 amp nearby. An adapter for the plug was provided by the owner of the camp ground.
I recently bought an RV and got this so I could use it any time there's only a 50amp outlet at a campground.
The item seems to be of high quality. A prompt shipping service.
As advertised, it delivers exactly what it promises.
