In order to run at 120v, this adaptor uses only one leg of the 240v 50 amp socket. An adapter for 240v 50 to 240v 30 amps is not what this product is. The adapter needed will be different if you have a 240 volt charger that you wish to plug into the 50 amp socket.
The answer depends on what else is running at the same time as well as the voltage that is available at the post. *br> *br>We have a surge protector that displays the voltage entering the protection unit as well as the amps that the trailer is drawing. Our AC usually does not use more than 14 or 15 amps, but it can spike up to 30 when other things are running at the same time such as a coffee pot, a toaster, and two fridges. When the power drops below a certain level at the post (which damages appliances and electrical systems), our surge protector automatically cuts off the power to the trailer. We try to use 12 wires, but we're not sure about the 10 wire. It might be overkill, but we haven't tried it yet. Whenever we plug ourselves into our home's 15 or 20 amp circuit breakers, we don't use our A/C with less than 30 amps, and the mechanic at our RV center discourages anybody from using the AC with less than 30 amps. The engine has enough power to run the lights and cool down the two refrigerators, but the mechanic told us not to run the air conditioner or use any appliances that consume too much power. If you would like to clarify this, you should ask your RV mechanic.
Typically, a 30 amp RV plug produces two parallel 120 volt outputs from a single 120 volt supply. 240V can not be back fed
Although the plug and cord have the UL label, the entire product does not

Throughout the summer months, I always have my RV hooked up and ready to go. While I tried using the RV cord, there were some points where it didn't reach the garage, depending on my parking location. Hooking up and moving the camper again meant that the camper needed to be moved. As well as being heavily exposed to the sun and rain, the RV card also constantly suffered from sunburn and damage during the storms. With this cool little card adapter, you simply plug it into your camper and add any length standard extension cord you like. Wish I had bought it.

This is a true gem. I have a 50-amp plug on the new RV, but my old travel trailer only had a 30-amp plug. In my house, I have a 30 amp plug, and this works perfectly. far, no issues, appears to be a strong and durable product.

In fact, the cable length is 6 inches, which is a difference of about half when it is half the length of the description.

This adapter offers great value for the price.

It is helpful to be able to quickly locate the special cable due to its color when you have a lot of cables and connectors in your cable bag. The extension cord is the right length to connect to a 20 AMP extension cord. The cable looks well made and is of good quality.

Worked like a charm. It is good quality and the color is aqua/blue marine. I like the color because it makes it easier to tell whether a battery is connected to the solar or the generator (yellow).

In addition to this, we use a surge protector.

The plug fits perfectly into the RV power cord and the wall socket.
