I find this question to be very interesting. The chemical in question is used to deodorize sewage tanks. Assuming the scent does not escape and end up in the air we breathe, it cannot be good.

My favorite toilet paper for using in the RV is Aqua Kem Original (Wintergreen)! It seems like the wintergreen smell in the RV toilet area clears the air

Although we have tried other brands, none of them claimed to be effective in removing foul odors from human waste. When I need to, I add it to the toilet. The range of Aqua Kem products is offered in three different scents and three different package sizes.

Buying new is better than buying used

Spend more money to get a quality product. Purchasing this product based on the reviews was a great decision for me! The current product in my 5th wheel trailer may have been better than what I was using in the past. It would not even break the seal on the box when I opened it and tried to use the product. This stuff inside the bottle resembled putty more than anything else. It had to have been in a liquid form, because I thought it would have been easy to pour? There is no way that could (I am not happy with my purchase.

You should beware of a buyer

Price is the same as what you'd pay at a store for an 8-pack. For three bottles, the price is way too high. The box I always get for this price was simply assumed to be the one I always purchase. Neither let yourself be fooled nor fooled by others. It is not a regular Thetford package you purchase at an RV supply store or WalMart. It is a bundle of 3 bottles for $22.

In our RV, we had a very foul smell in the toilet. With the heat on, it still smelled even after I had emptied the tank. There is no need for anymore gas masks or Oders now that I have purchased these products (and I will be purchasing more).

That's the only chem worth using. As a driver for a company that hauls over-the-road, I regularly use our porta potties. As a result of the new laws in California, this product is no longer allowed to be sold, and now every product we've tried stinks on our truck.
