Questions & Answers

What about clogging that occurs during the flushing of a regular toilet containing "material waste"?

Holding tanks can be fitted with portable toilets.

How do you determine the chemical composition of these products?

The citrus additive, sodium chloride, sodium percarbonate, and dye

With a grinder pump in our 55 gallon holding tank, we have an efficient system for removing waste water. Pumping the sewage up the hill into the sewer system will be handled by this grinder pump. What are the chances of this working?

The timing and manner in which you cycle your grinder makes all the difference. This will work fine if it only cycles at the point when it is 3/4 full, so if you put it in when it is almost empty, you will still get the benefit of the product. If you put it in just before the cycle, you will not get much benefit.

This product seems to be of good quality
4/5

When trying these out, how can you be sure they are working? You don't, as far as I can tell. The following is my experience in using these over the course of two seasons 1) They are super easy to use, which is the number one reason why they are so popular. As soon as you arrive in camp, fill the toilet bowl with water, drop the pouch in the all there is to 1) The black tank has not been clogged by paper. There are 3 women in this I'm using Charmin Ultra (the package says it is septic safe). *3) Every time you dump the black tank, the water seems to disappear completely. 4) The level sensors in the black tank seem to be covered with paper, giving us incorrect Most of the time, we don't have an odor from the holding tank chimney or an odor in the bathroom. It was difficult to dump this tank one time in the spring since it was smelling bad, but after some time, it self-eliminated Having never smelled an orange or citrus fragrance like they claim this stuff produces, I am curious to try it. In the same vein, I wonder, are these effective? There is some evidence to support this, but it is not very concrete. It feels like they are destroying the paper and blocking the smells, as they claim to be doing. As long as the results we're getting from the black tank and using these are satisfactory, we'll keep using them until we have more reason to doubt them Thanks for the review. I hope you found it to be helpful, please click here to let me know. Sincerely Thank you.

I have no complaints with this product thanks to the fact that it came with my portable potty
5/5

In the past, I purchased another brand and have had issues with pressure build-up and leaks caused by pressure, as well as foul odors. The quality of this product is far greater than similar Pressure does not build up and odor is reduced.

You've done well with these! Keeping our tanks clean is really important to them
5/5

You've done well with these! The product really does help keep our tanks clean, and the smell is pleasant, which is helpful when one is unpacking at a new site. I would definitely recommend this product.

I am pleased with this product
4/5

It does what it promises to do. The only thing I care about is this. There was no 5-star rating for me Because of the zip-code, the zip-code gets a star Getting a lock bag to stay shut won't work. Because I have had the same problem with two bags, I am guessing it is a design issue. place the bag inside part of another heavy bag The zip-up is heavy duty Using a plastic bag to lock it It's not that big a.

My life is the worst
3/5

I live in a travel trailer full time and have a porta potty from the Thetford Curve. The drop ins are usually Walex Lavender, however I determined that I really needed a 30 pack of these since I was planning on going up into the mountains for several months for social distance. Here's what I'd like to tell you about that error. Unless I forgot to add a poop pod, it has never smelled bad even if there is only one woman in the house using the toilet. I now notice that my toilet is starting to smell after 2 days, whereas before I would not notice anything for a week or two while using I have now been adding 3 pods to the tank every time I empty it and wash it out, and it still smells awful. It is difficult to stomach the smell of spoiled food, but I do not like to waste anything. There is a 5 on the Curve. My RV black water tank is only 5 gallons, so I don't understand how these would work at all in a larger It was such a treat to find one last Walex, and I will have it to tide me over until my new order arrives. have also purchased the Camco citrus tank additive but it has not been able to combat the grease in my tiny 5 gallon under-the-sink tank. The sink tank is there as it should be. At this point, I am completely convinced that Camco is selling inferior products.

This is so simple that even a child can do it
5/5

These are a favorite of mine. We have a great deal of odor removed from our black water system with these. It's as easy as filling the toilet bowl up to 12 inches Take 16 oz (eyeball it) and drop the drop into it.

It is convenient
4/5

As we wrap up, let's take a quick look back. We're coming up on our first year owning a RV, and these are the first images An experiment we conducted on the tank. The best way to do it isn't always the easiest These strategies have been effective, but there may have been other factors that impacted them This consists of how much water is added to the empty tank when these are added, how much waste is there in the tank, how hot it is, etc. In 90-minute sessions, this is done. Due to mildew and the fact that an RV sits unused, we haven't found the perfect solution to try to eliminate all odors. As part of my new blending strategy, I have started coupling these with Campco liquid black. Also, it is best to add this prior to leaving a campsite, so that the road motion can agitate the water in the tank and help dissolve the membranes, ensuring they don't coagulate in a sticky mess at the bottom. This is a trial - so it's up to you Errors are inevitable. My bet is that they are only one of two. They aren't the best, they aren't the worst. These are the three strategies you will need to utilize Summer is a hot, humid time of year- Keeping your black tank fresh will keep it from stinking up your house. Please make sure that the resealable bag is tightly sealed. In the absence of proper ventilation, humidity will be your enemy.
