Yes, if the gray water discharged is only liquid and not chunky. This is an adapter that connects a garden hose to a RV sewer discharge pipe.
Gray water isn't the same thing as drinking water. I'm not sure where you got that information from. Please contact us by phone at (800) 334- 2004 or email us at [email protected]. To learn more, go to www.abcnews.com.
It will fit any 3 inch sewer dump pipe end, as agreed. Wish it were a little more durable; a strong tug on the hose will most likely break the cap. This is something that has happened to me.
Thetford caps can be found on some RVs. You'll need an adapter or a Thetford cap if yours is one of them.

For a while, I've been wearing the Valtera version of this cap, which only has two bayonets to engage for a seal, and one of them broke off. As a result, I found myself in a difficult situation. I was about to place another order when I noticed this version, which has four bayonets that engage all four lugs on my sewer fitting. It creates a more secure seal and allows for some wiggle room in the event that one breaks. It's probably worth mentioning why this is happening. You can use a garden hose to connect to your RV sewer fitting and tap off grey water using this cap. It's extremely useful.
Our old sewer cap worked perfectly until our black sewer shutoff valve stopped fully closing. I'm still working on improving the closure. It is most likely clogged with something that allows liquids to pass through. The old cap's seal was no longer as thick and cushy, and it was only secured by two prongs rather than the four on this one. I decided to give this a try because of the positive reviews. It has a nice large rubber gasket and four prongs that keep any liquid from passing through my shut off valve. My husband's alma mater's tailgaters are grateful that it's no longer dripping near their tailgate, and we're no longer embarrassed. There isn't a drop of water leaking because of it. Dumping would be a lot more enjoyable if I could just figure out how to fix the valve and get it to close all the way.
Camco products are typically very durable for RV or trailer sewer hose hookups, and I purchased this exact cap in September of this year. I connected the hose to it and noticed a large crack at the base of the plastic fitting just two weeks ago, so I had to order a replacement (April 2020). Because this RV does not leave the yard, there is no reason for the cap to have cracked as a result of travel or multiple hose disconnects and reconnects. I've used other Camco products before, but this is the first time I've had a problem with one. Fortunately, the cap is inexpensive enough that it won't be a major financial burden.
The valves on the grey tank, in particular, begin to seep slightly as the camper ages. (At least, that's how I'm hoping it turns out. ) This is what I use, with a small plastic ball valve on the hose end. When it's time to connect the unit, I place a bucket beneath it and turn on the ball valve. If there is any leakage past the valves, it drains into the bucket, which I can then dispose of in the sewer. I can then remove the cap and hook up with no mess or fuss; unfortunately, my vlves are located far beneath my coach, so this allows me to put off repairing them until they are severely damaged.
I bought this cap to replace the one that had broken on my pipe. It has four locking tabs, as opposed to the original's two, and a good rubber seal. It includes two rubber connectors, one for the cap and the other for the smaller hose cap. I disconnected one of the smaller hose caps and connected it to the RV outlet, where it now hangs when not in use. It snaps on securely and forms a watertight seal. If you're looking for a watertight and durable sewer cap, this is the one to get.
We live in our RV full-time and find this connector to be extremely useful in draining our gray water tanks. We frequently stay in RV parks and campgrounds without sewer hookups, so we use a portable sewer tank with a hose attachment that makes draining the gray tanks into our portable sewer tank a breeze. With the convenience of this product, there will be no more short showers.
This is ideal for anyone who enjoys boondocking or camping in an old-school campground without sewer connections at each site for a week. While I would not use it to drain a black water tank, it is ideal for draining a gray water tank. I keep a 10-foot hose on hand so that I can direct the used water to the appropriate location. This item accomplishes exactly what you desire.
