The battery-powered 565E has a great seat height. The flushing system is very effective when it is operated. I installed this unit in our van so that we don't have to worry about whether or not we'll have access to facilities. It's also comforting to know that if a seal fails or anything else goes wrong, they'll replace it and stand by their products.
saving user-generated content The waste tank has a large capacity and is designed to be environmentally friendly. The battery-powered device, on the other hand The electrical version of the toilet's powered flush frequently failed, rendering it unusable. This version of the manual piston pump solves the issue. My only criticism is that it lacks the locking base plate that allows for installation in a single location in a campervan. It's nearly impossible to locate the locking base plate for this toilet. The lack of availability of this plate, which is required to install the toilet in our campervan wet bath, is a major issue that Thetford must address.
In our cabin, this toilet will be used year-round and full-time. I've only had it for a few days, but I've found it to be well-made and durable; it's the same height as a regular toilet, and it has a standard oval deep toilet-style bowl. Rather than using a manual piston pump, it uses an electronic pump to flush the bowl. The mount and lock device, which keeps the fresh water fresh, is even more important. The toilet bowl is well-designed and does not leak because it is well-sealed to the dirty water holding tank. This unit also comes with a three-year warranty, which means that if anything goes wrong with it, including the electric water pump, Thetford will cover it completely or replace it if it can't be fixed. That was the selling point for me. Other reviews on this forum claim that this unit has been discontinued, but it is still in full production as of December 10, 21. br>br>I had previously purchased another porta potty from a different manufacturer, and what I've learned from that purchase is that typical porta potties have a manual piston pump for flushing that isn't very powerful, the toilet bowl is round rather than oval like a household toilet, and is extremely shallow, so if you're not careful, your JUNK can easily go swimming with the tootsie rolls if you know what I mean. The worst part about this other toilet is that after about a week of use, the clips that connect the toilet bowl to the dirty water holding tank loosened, allowing liquid to leak between the units onto the ground and making carrying the dirty holding tank to its dump location an unsanitary task. Now that I've purchased a Thetford Porta POTTI 565E Curve 4/5, I'm ready to get started. 5G, all of these problems have been "FLUSHED DOWN THE DRAIN"br>br>My point is that my family and I are extremely happy with our Thetford Porta POTTI 565E Curve 4/5. 5G. It outperforms every other porta potty on the market, hands down. br>br>Buy it; you won't be disappointed, and you'll have the assurance that this unit will function properly for the next three years and beyond.
We bought this to use as a portable toilet in our garage because we live in the country and connecting regular sewer lines to our septic system would be a nightmare. We haven't had to empty or clean it yet because we've only had it for a couple of weeks and haven't used it much. Get the liquid chemicals and put some in the holding tank and some in the water tank - like the style, it's very easy to use and has a place for toilet paper on the side. Keeps the smell to a minimum (this is based on camping experience). We also purchased a floor bracket to ensure that it did not move when you sat on it - If properly installed, it works great.
I used it for one and it worked perfectly. One suggestion is to reduce the size of the horizontal pull out tab so that the user can keep their legs in front rather than putting them to the side to extend the tab. It's perfect except for that!!.
I'm going to make a riser for it because it's a little low, but I used it for a week of dry camping. It was simple to charge and dump, and when I got home, it was simple to sanitize.
This toilet is much needed for me as a truck driver. I already had one, but this one is far superior.
