As a first step, we connect the regulator to the water source at the RV Park, then the hose of 4 feet, the inline filter, and finally the other two stainless steel hoses, The main issue I noticed in reviews of this product was a weakness at the connection points. In addition to being heavy on its own, the filter is even heavier when full of water, resulting in stress on the connections if it is connected Thus, we bought multiple hoses so that we will be able to rest assured that there will be no load The way I have set this up has never caused an issue.
It's a great price since Amazon is only charging $8 for the adapter hose alone. much larger than I expected and had a beefier build than I had imagined. The filter has a diameter of 2 7/16" and a height of 10 1/2". The only way to break it is with a hammer. My water was poor, and I did not have the proper equipment to do a test. As a matter of fact, it made my county water taste better than straight from the tap. It looks like I will be purchasing this filter again unless something breaks down down the road. Keep in mind It's best to run the campsite's water before hooking up in order to allow sediment and discoloration to settle. Remember to turn on the camp water gradually, since sometimes pressure can be extreme and cause damage to It's a good idea to have a pressure regulator attached to the campground faucet.
It was my first time using a filter for camping, and I will continue using it! Buying this inline filter is THE thing to do if you're camping or RVing. The installation is extremely easy and it removes more junk than the others, including copper and rust. The next time I need to buy one, I will definitely buy it.
