A water filter is a necessity wherever we travel because we live on the road full time. There are many areas where the quality of the water is During a test, I ran a jar of tap water through the filter and a jar of water straight from the tap. As a result, the unfiltered water had quite a bit of fine particulates in the jar that settled out following 24 hours on the picnic table with the lid on. Neither visible particulates nor dissolved particles were found in the filtered water. My personal opinion is that there was also a slight improvement in taste. The RV is used for this. You can save a lot on RV water filters with this deal! When I tighten the filter to the water hose at the RV site, I haven't noticed any cracks in the threads like what I have encountered with "blue" H20 filters purchased at big box stores. Water filters like these fit easily into a garden hose connection and are perfect for providing water to RVs. Two of them are attached to my well, which is relatively new, and pumps some sediment, so I used them with two RV's. Crystal clear water was provided to the RVs by these filters.
