This is what I used for my rockwood trailer's clear water tank. It's just like the original one in terms of functionality. Because my trailer is currently in storage, I am unable to provide you with a measurement. Sorry
This cap, like all caps for gravity fills, is designed to keep things from falling or crawling into your water tank, rather than to seal the opening against water. There is a small air vent right next to the fill, and water can also come out of this on a turn, so having the cap watertight would be useless. The solution is to keep your water tank at a maximum of 75 degrees Fahrenheit. 80% full. You'll just have to put up with it if you need every last drop of water storage you can get.
This will fit all quarter-turn gravity fill inlets. On travel trailers, it's fairly common.
Mine is connected to a 1 1/2" drain outlet in the sink. It ought to work on yours as well.

This water inlet cover and lanyard are a perfect match for the water inlet on my fifth wheel camper. They were simple to put together and perfectly matched the factory colors.
It does exactly what it says on the tin. Overall, though, it's a lot of money for a small piece of plastic. But what are you supposed to do if you don't have access to a 3D printer? Replacement parts are on their way to you.
What can I say, it's a cap, and it works for the water fill on my 1996 Lance camper. It's just a little on the expensive side for what it is.
The job was completed successfully, and everything is in its proper place.
The 94 Lance Squire with gravity fill fit perfectly, and swapping and snapping the tether into place took only 30 seconds.
The old one had become brittle and had to be replaced. This worked out perfectly as a stand-in for the original.
