It was a perfect match for my old water filling system. It's 1, I believe. 25". I'd go check it out, but it's covered for the winter.
Cut a 1/2-inch garden hose with a female end long enough to reach from the fill dish to the fresh water tank's interior. Simply push it all the way in, and the fitting will slide right into the filler hole. To fill the tank, pull out a couple of inches and connect a garden hose.
If your fresh water tank has a vent fitting near the top, the answer is yes. If you don't have a vent line to connect to, you should cap or plug the vent on this product.
The vent hole spout has a smooth surface and does not have a barb. It fits a 1/2" vent hose.

It's a little bigger this time. To widen the hole, I needed to use an oscillating tool. My camper, as you can see in the photo, is a little older. I'm not sure if it'll fit a newer camper or RV more easily. br>br>It wasn't a bad replacement job, even though I had to modify the hole a little. To seal it up, I used some butyl and caulk. It's a lot nicer than the original, which was dry rotted and brittle.
We wanted to protect our fresh water from contamination, dirt, and pests when we bought our used travel trailer because the potable water fill cap was missing. This was incredibly simple to put together and improved the appearance of the RV.
It is well-fitting and appealing. Both hoses were quickly connected. br>The screw holes didn't line up, but this is a minor flaw. If it came with screws, that would be fantastic. The screws in my previous one were rusted. This one was installed with brand new stainless screws. It looks a lot better now. It takes about ten minutes to set up. Make certain to seal the area around it.
White, plastic, flimsy, fit the hole, fit the hoses, and did the job. br>How come so many people don't realize that maintenance isn't the same as repair?.
I swapped out the white ones for a perfect fit. Instead of painting my white screws, I would have preferred black headed screws.
I would have preferred the one in the picture, but I got the one with the beveled edge instead of the flat one. Because the bevel is hollow in the mounting surface with insufficient material to support its shape, this is important if you want to drill more holes and add more screws.
PROs: Overall, the fit and function are satisfactory. CONS: br>br> unlike the OEM, it does not include a round rubber/foam gasket to seal the hole. Instead, I was forced to caulk. The tightness of the screw hole recesses is a minor design flaw. Because of the tight tolerance, you can't use a standard socket head to tighten the screws. My screw count is zero. Hex heads with a diameter of 25 inches (no flats or Phillips). To tighten them, I used needle-nose pliers. br>br>I would tell a friend about this product.
It took two people to replace (one to connect on the inside), but replacing the old one was a quick fix.
