I typed in your vehicle's information on the Amazon/Dorman product page, and the 2002 Jeep Wrangler TJ came up as a good match.
It was the perfect match for our 1997 4. 0 Grand Cherokee with a straight six cylinder engine Jeep Cherokee 4th Generation 2001 The cylinder number is 0 6. I'm guessing it'll work for your four. You can enter the year and make of your vehicle on the Amazon item page, and it should confirm that it fits your car.
Unfortunately, Dorman does not have one listed for this vehicle.
Yes, 3/4 tubing is what I have.

The part is of good quality and is simple to put together. This is something you should get if you're replacing your water pump. It makes the job a lot easier because you won't have to struggle to remove the old tube from the old water pump. Before installing the new water pump, make sure to use thread tape or dope at the connection to the water pump, as well as install the tube into the water pump and align/orient it properly (pointing back toward the engine). I've replaced several water pumps over the years and wish someone had told me that when I first did it!.
This part worked perfectly, and if installed correctly, it will fit perfectly! I struggled to align it with the old water pump (if you get a new water pump, you should also get a new one of these; it's not worth the effort to remove and reuse the old pipe) and make sure it was tight. I tried to tighten the water pump by stepping on it, but I ended up killing myself for no gain. Then it occurred to me to unbolt the A/C Compressor (but do not remove the 5th bolt that connects the a/c lines!). ), set it aside, and tighten the water pump bolts to the specified torque. After that, finish the pipe alignment with a good wrench. I was nervous when I first started because I thought I had stripped the pipe nut by myself, but a little elbow grease got the job done without a hitch, and I did a little dance before connecting the rubber hoses and finishing the simple job.
It's a 0 I6 and it's just right. The rusted out water heater core return line on the water pump for the Jeep Grand Cherokee 4 was replaced with this tube. I have a 0 I6 pipe that should be replaced if you replace your water pump. To begin with, removing the old one will be too difficult. Second, by keeping the old rusted out one, it causes rust, leaks, and contaminates new fluid. It's a perfect fit, and mine went into the new water pump without a hitch. Just make sure you tighten it up and line up the outlet with the hose on the water pump before installing the water pump, or you'll have to take it off again because this pipe only goes one way.
There are currently 0 people online. It fit perfectly, but the fact that it didn't completely screw in bothered me. I only got about 5 turns before carefully placing it in my vise and adding another turn. I was scared, so I unscrewed it and started over. As a result of the same outcome, I decided to leave it alone and give it a shot. It was easy to connect to the hose and did not leak. I still didn't trust it, so I unscrewed it, wrapped it in plumber's tape, and screwed it back on six turns, and it's been fine; I've driven over 600 miles on it with no leaks or issues.
In a rage, I would have given this a 0 out of 5 star rating. br>However, now that I've recovered from my rage, I'll give it three stars. br>On my 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4, it has the same inlet tube. 0L was the perfect amount for me. Having said that, the manufacturer needs to improve its Quality Assurance because a small pin hole was found directly through the steel tube. br>Of course, I didn't realize this until I was done with the job and had to re-start it. To perform a pressure test, add the coolant.
For my '93 Jeep GC, I needed a Dorman 56398 Water Pump Inlet Tube. The heater hose connects to the other end of this pipe, which screws into the water pump on one end. Although the threads were sealed with sealant, I used Teflon tape to ensure that no leaks occurred. It's a good part that's also cheap!.
Others have stated that it was a bad angle and that figment was not good. When tightening it down, keep in mind that once it starts to feel right, you determine the angle. Otherwise, the product was damaged during shipping, but mine arrived in perfect condition!.
Garbage. The bend is incorrect. I started up my 2005 Jeep Wrangler. It would have required a lot of tinkering to get it to work properly. I ended up just sanding the OEM one down and repainting it. This section is a waste of time. If you require a new part, pay for the OEM version. Recently, I've had a lot of bad luck with Dorman parts.
