Questions & Answers

My 5900 pump is starting to fail and I need to find out what the psi rating is on this pump. Does 0211 work?

The standard for RVs manufactured in the United States is 60 psi.

Is there a difference between this model pump and the Shurflo 2088-R There are 554. What is the voltage of 144 volts?

In this pump, there is a fourth chamber (for a total of 4) and it will pump at a higher pressure and volume.

How do you cut the pressure on the pressure switch pump - Can you tell me what setting I should use?

In general, it is supposed to weigh between 25 and 45 lbs. On the cold water side of my installation, I think I have somewhere between 15 lbs and 30 lbs. With an on-demand hot water heater, you can cut a significant amount of pressure (and flow). In my case, I feed a water line of 1 1/2" to the pump, and feed a 1" water line from the pump to the *br>I think I lose pressure because of the 1/2 inch connections that are on the pump fittings, and 1/4 inch connections on the connections. If Shurflo would make this pump in a 1" size and with a flow-rate of 1 gpm, that would be great The whole process. The author is Tommy

This product has enough power to pressurize a standard 5 gal bladder tank, right? In order to run a grid-connected cabin, I'm using it. ?

I believe there will be no issue. As a normal service engineer, I reach pressures of over 45psi.

Five pumps have been replaced by this one
5/5

It has the same mounting holes as the 7 gpm. It is a direct replacement for Shurflo 5 so I bought it. The model has a flow rate of 7 gpm. Listed at 4 gpm, this model is easy to handle. The hose flow is just right for this application, which allows you to wash your horse with hose. I installed this on a horse trailer water tank, and it works just fine. According to the manual, I should only use 1/2 inch tubing, so I terminated all the 3/8 tubing and connectors and replaced them with 1/2 inch tubing. As a substitute for the union fittings, I used black sprinkler fittings with threaded 1/2 inch male on the one side, and barbed 1/2 inch male on the other side to connect to the tank and on the other side to the Also, I replaced the 15 amp fuse holder with a #12 wire sized one and all wiring was replaced with #12 due to pump manufacturer's recommendation. the pump was installed, it worked well but did not shut off on its own. The bypass valve pressure was set too low, which caused the problem. Although this is mentioned in the manual, it does not indicate where the valve adjustment screws are situated. There is an Allen wrench on the side of the pump that can be used to adjust it. It was set too high, meaning the blue hubbed wire was attached to the wrong pressure and needed to be adjusted with a small Allen wrench. The bypass valve with no wire was turned clockwise and the screw moved in about 2 full turns to raise the pressure setting, then I turned the pressure valve with blue hubbed wire counterclockwise 2 weeks and the screw was pulled out slightly to lower the pressure at which the pump shuts off. In the event that the pump shuts off too many times with water flowing, turn the pressure valve clockwise a quarter This adjustment valve was not present on the old pump.

This pressure washer is easy to install and has a We had a faulty pump in our motorhome that had been working for a decade
5/5

Based on this model, I chose to use it An organization with a great reputation is under more pressure. I found the installation process to be quite straightforward. In addition to the new pump, you have to get a 10amp Intellitec controller module if the old pump was a 7amp circuit board. In the meantime, while waiting for a new pump to arrive, install took a bit longer. The new pump was heavier and larger than the old one, but it was able to fit into the space. I found all the screw on fittings I needed The directions stated that all that needed to be done was to hand tighten. Please note It is specified that the pump will be powered by 12 gauge wire. Due to the greater current draw of the new pump, I did need to replace the smaller gauge wire. When in doubt, you should verify the wire size and determine if you need a larger wiring connection partway through your installation. In total I worked on the install for about three hours. In some ways, removing the old pump was more difficult than installing the new pump because its screws were rusted and needed care and attention. There is no need to prime the pump as it is self priming. You just need to take your time, follow the directions (I know, what a concept) and you will be fine. Also remember to perform the maintenance on the filter screen as directed By doing so, the pump will remain functional.

Throughout the entire six year period, there were no This pressure was used to pressurize a rain water collection system, powered by a 12V solar cell charged by a battery
5/5

In addition, it powered a system of irrigation that was used regularly throughout the year. As per the flow meter I have on my system, this pump pumped 21,000 gallons before the screws holding the pump head came loose, throwing everything out of balance until it pushed the pump head In spite of the fact that the pump is run from a rainwater collection tank, it ran dry multiple times without any damage. You can't go wrong with it.

I love the flow of this! My RV was equipped with a 4008 3gpm pump before I replaced it with this one
5/5

I can tell a big difference based on the quality of the water at every tap. Sink pressures and flows are much more consistent (in terms of flow and pressure) and the shower is almost like home now! With this pump, I am very impressed. I like this model better than the 4008 as it boasts a longer pump head to the end of the motor (almost two inches) but it's worth the extra size.

This increases both the flow and the pressure in the system
5/5

The one I'm using now I've used for over It is especially nice that the flow and pressure have been increased over the old Added to that, you'll be able to run dry and self prime the machine. Amazon lists all the features and specs on this page. In addition, it is shipped and sold by Amazon, I have always had good experience buying their products, and 74% of users rated it as 5 stars, while 16% rated it as 4 stars, pretty good for an item mostly used by RV.

I can't seem to solve any of these problems
3/5

My husband and I used this water pump on our sailboat. We have been plagued by endless problems due to it. I'm shutting down There was a problem with the off switch. You won't be able to keep your Every few days, it needs to be adjusted. It is not feasible and is not needed. We were extremely disappointed, especially since we spent a little more to buy a more expensive pump thinking we would be better off.

The volume was great, but the noise was a bit disturbing
4/5

Our Newmar was missing the OEM #2088, so I bought this to replace it. According to the rating system, the 2088 is rated There is a difference of 9 gal/min and 5 gal/min between the 4088 and the 4088. There are a number of similarities between the Pump heads, but the motor on the newer model is considerably larger, taking up an additional 4 inches of width. There are a number of benefits to rubber mounting. There is a bit more noise from this pump compared to the OEM (bigger motor, more volume, duh) but it is not too bothersome. An elbow comes out of the pump when the OEM mounting arrangement is used. The proper fittings were hard to locate for a couple hours. I found them at West Marine. I may have to relocate them in order to remove the elbow and.

Especially susceptible to fluctuations in voltage, the "rapid cycle" adjustment is finicky
3/5

I find it disappointing, but it seems to function well. It works adequately, it has a good flow rate, but if you don't make the adjustment, the rapid-flow will occur It would be better if cycle pulsing was not performed at low flows. Due to its vulnerability to voltage fluctuations, it is extremely touchy In the event that it has been adjusted so that it works well at full charge, it will not shut off when the batteries are about half a volt empty. Although, the rate of flow drops dramatically when the pulsation starts, so I could live with it as long as the rapid cycle isn't so fast. It is very annoying for the outlet on my water filter Reduces its flow speed by about a third makes it flow twice as fast as usual. There is some noise, though it is not as loud as you might expect. It was a disappointing experience for me.
