My pump that was in it went bad as well. As soon as I removed it. It was stamped with a date of 1999 on the suflo pump. This year! There was an original pump here! It will be a tough act to follow for this SeaFlo! It was obviously working, but I do remember the Shurflo had been failing for a while and I am guessing that is why it was so loud! I got the job done. As such, I didn't mix it up. It just sounded like a loud pump to me! Now that the Seaflo is installed, let's take a look. SHUT UP AND WHISPER QUIETLY! The difference between this and the original is staggering! In a lot of reviews I began to notice threads weren't as they should be. It was no problem at all! I am able to install them right over my existing PEX lines. Although I had to get a little creative as my original pump did not have a strainer, I managed to make one. Therefore the new pump had to be placed in a different area, but this isn't the fault of the pump. As of yet (it's been less 2) I'm amazed at what you've accomplished! I've got no issues with the pump.
One thing you may wish to consider is the safety issue. The issue with this pump is that it DOES have the "5 minutes on" feature. You can use it on a "10 Min off" cycle when you are taking a shower. Make sure you plan ahead! The ad did not mention that in the info. I wonder if it will last! It states in some reviews that mine died after one year. There could be a million factors behind the problems, but we all know it could be.
If you want, you can read the rest of this article. Within a couple of weeks, the water pump stopped working and the sound changed. In my review of the instruction manual and the troubleshooting checklist, there are a few items that I am not sure how to check. For example The diaphragm of the pump has been punctured. Seaflo did not answer my call, so I texted the company again. Still waiting to hear from them. There were no information on youtube except one clip of a guy with an 18 second clip of the exact same problem I am having and he is asking how to fix it I tapped it and took it out, shook it, and reinstalled it and it worked. Despite checking for debris, I found nothing in the filter or the valves since I was using the filter. It may have been its need for a jolt since it had been sitting for a week. Since I'm still working on the van conversion, I presumed it was the timing. It went out again after two weeks, and this time it wasn't Although I am debating opening the top to see if debris is inside because the Shurflo has a similar issue, I'm going to wait until Seaflo responds. In summary, I think I have a defective one and hope it can be returned.
My husband and I live full time in a converted sprinter van, so we Less than two months after it was purchased, it broke. The customer service rep said that they could only replace or repair my husband's product if he calls back for a return or refund. The third cost is the price of the pump as a whole). say, we needed a faster solution so we opted for the SHURFLO pump, and it has been working beautifully. It seems better to go with the SHURFLO 4008-G if you want to pay $15 more From 101 to 102 The E65 code is Product number 0 of the Revolution Water Pump line.
I will have to revisit this after about six months to determine the quality of this pump, but from my experience with its installation, it seems to be of excellent With this RV pump you get a rubber mounting base to reduce noise, as well as a screen to filter the water from your RV tank (which is a GREAT idea!). After moving the pump off the hard line and installing the Camco 3' flexible hoses, I was able to reduce noise. As I mentioned, I will have to revisit this after its been used for some time in the fresh air.
This kit comes with an adapter and a I bought two pumps, one of which was damaged. Threads that do not follow standard conventions. Unless you are going to jury rig, you might have to connect to the included barbs. These threads almost equal, but do not quite match, 1/2" standard pipe threads. In my search for adapters and fittings that would work, I wasted a considerable amount of time and fuel. My regret is that I didn't return them both on Despite being strong and quiet, the working pump is extremely powerful.
The water tank in our camper served as a way to empty water carriers. The pump takes a long time to work because it is a small one. However, it is better than filling the holding tank with 5 gallon containers.
With a Montana, my wife resented using the pump when it was brand new because it was so loud. In spite of all my attempts to quiet the oem in the past, I bought this unit after reading and when it was on sale. My tank was installed in 10 minutes and after it primed, I do not look I bought the item here because I don't usually buy from CW. The price was slightly better at CW, but I try not to purchase from them.
Our attempts to install it have been unsuccessful because the threads on the inlet and outlet ports are cross threading and we were unable to add fittings.
