Shipped very fast, works fine, but it's VERY LOUD. That is not something I recommend. That's a lot of noise! This is something you want to stay away from. My headphones are seriously in need of replacement after using them for two weekends.
I used to have a 4800 that was identical in noise and did not I still believe it was an upgrade to the original RV pump, and I would return it for no more than $100.
The only thing I give it a two-star rating is on quiet. The reason I bought it is that it is supposed to be quieter than the surflo. That's not true at all.
Once I read the reviews, I was worried about the water pump that my husband ordered. Nevertheless, this is a great one. Since we've had several RVs and trailers, we've rented out a lot. Every time the water pumps run, they make a lot of noise. A trailer that we purchased to be renovated was purchased. In addition to replacing tires and brakes, we also replaced a water pump. This weekend, my family and I went camping with the trailer and this water pump proved very handy. Our last meeting was quieter than all of the others. It is easy to achieve good water pressure. told me he needed a few bits and pieces to install it, but it was easy and works fine.
One of the things I liked most about this product was its American-made nature. The fact that it is made in Colorado, is another plus I live about an hour away. Installation was easy, and I was impressed with the quality of their work. Compared to the temporary one a friend lent me, this one is so much quieter. I did not give the product enough time to determine its durability, so it receives a 4 star rating only.
The new Shur Flow pump is too loud and cycles too much compared to the old Shur Flow. Recently I had to replace one pump within a year and the company honored the lifetime.
It was used the pump that was shipped. As soon as I opened the caps on either end of the pump, dirty water started pouring out.
Very nice and works well, but it should be advertised that this pump comes with a strainer as this would lower the cost because I had to buy an additional strainer that I didn't need!.
