Questions & Answers

1/2" or 3/8" wide is the flat part of the part?

In metric it is slightly over, but in inch it is still half an inch.

Is this going to fit the door to my Girard GSH- How many gallons does a 1 m water heater hold?

I was able to fit them to

Is this going to fit my Casita Liberty Deluxe?

As long as it is a cam lock latch, it should fit. All water heater door covers have the same kind of cam lock, I believe. This lock was an upgrade from my factory lock, which was made of plastic. You can watch a video of how to change out the battery, it's very easy.

Can it be put on by following the instructions?

The item I purchased about two years ago had instructions on how to install it, the best I can remember. The main thing I know is that it was easy to install and has worked perfectly for the past two

Plastic clips have been replaced, but it still feels a bit I had a plastic clip break after years of service, so I went with these metal clips to make sure they would stand the test of time
4/5

I did not find installation to be too challenging, but I do feel there is more wiggle in the new clip than the old one did. In addition to that, I opened the hatch (a cover for the water heater on the RV) a few times and this clip actually popped out of the hole it was I'm not sure how I feel about that, as it seems like it might come loose when we drive and leave the hatch fluttering in the wind. As a result, the outfit would probably fly away, so I have no idea how comfortable I am. At least I have it to a point where it feels solid now, so I'll see how it does. To get it to the point I liked, I had to bend it a bit. It will be interesting to see how things turn out.

There is a lot of work involved in installing
5/5

The flat parts are all metal, but you have to compress the spring to remove the flat part, then you have to pull it to the side to remove it. Once the V is inserted, move on to step 5 Put the spring-shaped part through the hole on the camper from the back side and push it a bit until you are able to get the flat part back.

We have replaced the door clips on our water heaters
5/5

A lot of the components of a travel trailer are supplied by the same companies, despite the fact that there are many different manufacturers. On most RVs, the access door to the water heater is held closed by these little clips, but the original ones are made of metal and plastic. A spring-loaded part is made from metal, while the plastic tab that you pull to open the access door is made from flexible plastic that This is what happened to mine. I saw that I could buy a new one like my old one and have to worry about it breaking again or get these that are all metal and won't Though I am not sure why they sell these metal ones in pairs, who knows, I may encounter some campers who are in need of one someday and I may be of assistance.

The two boxes work very well, but why do they exist? Because I just bought a brand new travel trailer whose latch for the water heater was plastic, I bought this one to replace it before my plastic version was damaged by I found it to be relatively easy to install and seem to work fine
4/5

I am not sure why they sent two of these in a package because most RVs require only one latch. In theory, it may be a way to get someone to pay more to get two instead of one, but I guess I will always have a spare and should not need a spare if these are stainless steel. Prices should be cut and sales should be one at a time that most people would find useful. Apart from that, I am happy with the product.

Fastener made of steel by Camco 09213
5/5

The following preventive maintenance procedures are necessary Despite its plastic pull tab, the new Travelle travel trailer is still very stylish. Simply put, I don't want my bad pull tab to get caught in the toolies. It does not come with any instructions, but this is how it is done. The tab is removed and the spring is removed. When installing a new cam lock, pull its spring as far back as it goes. You will see the metal in the center is grooved to facilitate removing the tab. Slide the tab back and you will see the inside length of metal. Once the tab has been removed, place the spring and the length of metal on the back of the panel Install the new tab in the grove, align the tab. Push and hold until the length of metal pokes out of the opening. I believe that will do the trick.

Product works very well
5/5

It only takes a couple of minutes to replace. Stainless steal is much more durable than plastic, so if yours is plastic, simply replace it with this one. Open the door, reach behind the cam lock, and push on the spring from behind. The plastic cam lock will come right off right away. Reverse the procedure to install a To be sure that the water heater has been turned off before replacing the cam, it takes a little longer.

I believe it is When we tried assembling these, the metal was so weak that even the spring that came with them couldn't support its own weight
3/5

There was nothing odd about my installation, the metal was just too flimsy for it to hold. The shoes I received were defective and I had to replace them immediately, but in retrospect, I am surprised they were made of steel after reviewing this product. I think it's the softest "steel" I've ever felt.

A great product that is better than the A lot longer lasting than the original fastener, which was made from This might scratch the paint on the door, and that's all I'm worried about
5/5

Apart from that, this was a very good purchase. Despite the product's late arrival, it didn't seem to exhibit any visible damage to its I would not hesitate to purchase it again if I needed one.
