Questions & Answers

Is it manufactured in a certain country?

Those US of A good ol' days

Can this be used with a 6 gal RV water heater model g6a-M ?

I don't think this applies to G6A This heater is an 8E atwood. There is a 1/2 thread rather than a 3/4 thread required.

What are the threads on this anode? Are they 3/4" or 1/2"?

Thanks for the question. It has 3/4"

Do you know if this will work for a Dometic 10 gal. ?

If I don't know the thread size of your water heater, I can't provide you with a positive answer. You may not need the same anode, but I can help you determine which one Since the thread size on the 369 anode is out of my 6 gallon Dometic heater, I'm unable to use it. If you have an original heater plug or anode, you will need to measure the thread size in order to determine the correct anode. 1/2 NPT is approximately 13/16 inch in diameter and 3/4 NPT is approximately 1 inch +. Because the thread is tapered, smaller at the front and bigger at the back, I use approximate measurements. You need to know your heater's thread size to choose the right anode. In case you are still not sure, go to your local hardware store and check your original plug or anode thread to a pipe fitting in order to determine if the thread is 3/4 or 1/2 NPT, then This may be of some help

My order was delivered promptly after I placed it
5/5

The anode rods were high quality and worked well. I have a Suburban water heater in my Vengeance toy hauler and these products are an excellent fit. The Suburban water heater does need an anode rod, which not all RV water heaters require. It is also important to note that anode rods serve as sacrificial metals to keep the water heater tank from rusting out and that they will need to be replaced periodically to avoid premature failure of the A rod supplier defect may not be the cause of the issue, but chemistry may. The two-pack of rods is a great value since they will need to be periodically replaced. Previously, pipe tape may not have been included, but sufficient amounts have been included to install both rods when necessary.

A rod that functions as an anode
5/5

My Travel Trailer came with your rods, so I've been using them ever since. It works very well for them. In addition to being used as part of the evaporate cooler in my home, I also use them as replacement parts. Putting one next to the pump and a toilet chlorine tablet in the reservoir was my solution. The hard water in my area builds up calcium scale on the pads. Through this, it breaks it up and reduces it.

The value for money is excellent
5/5

I needed to replace the anode rods on my Suburban water heater which held six gallons. I think it is amazing to see how much damage they have sustained in just one season. It is good to hear that. It is safer for them to have a water heater the worse they look. When you replace the anode rod, make sure to flush the water heater.

I purchased a pair of sacrificial anode rods for my RV's class C motorhome, which is a simple but essential part
5/5

This company is awesome.
You call that boring, huh? In my opinion, the owner of the business where I purchased it was very impressive. She sent me what seemed to be a personal note with her heartfelt thanks, along with video links In short, it wasn't the part that impressed me, but the company. Thank you so very much for bringing a smile to my face.

Make sure the anode rod is changed as soon as possible
5/5

Anode rods need to be changed regularly. Do not neglect this important task. was a secondhand trailer and the first owners never changed the hot water heater anode rod. It was acquired secondhand, with no maintenance from its first owners. In the opinion of many RV owners, it is best to let the anode rod decay a complete degree, and then let the water minerals crush the tank itself, which is most often done between the ages of 6 and 9 One gets a lot more value when one can buy an anode rod for less than $10 a year and change it one's self, rather than paying $400 or more per year. Every 6 to 9 years, you have to spend 600 dollars on a new water heater plus huge installation costs! In addition, there is also an option to change the hot water element! Hot water heaters in suburbs make it very easy to maintain your own unit to the greatest extent possible, and with a little maintenance you can extend its lifespan well beyond the commonly recommended 6 to 9 years. In your collection of owner's manuals, you will find information about what kind of water heater type you have as well as the size of the anode rod and element it Two sizes are typically required for Suburban water heaters, and Oneness offers them for sale. First time owner, and not knowing that the anode rod needed to be cleaned, this particular water heater installed new about a year after I purchased the trailer. I did not realize that it was necessary to change the anode rod until I had the trailer for about 2 1/2 years. The anode rod was completely eaten away by the water heater when I finally got the base unscrewed. My first reaction upon learning it would be a needed job was to order all the parts and the wrench I needed to change the rod, then I searched youtube for the most comprehensive video I could find on how to do it, then I set off to try it. I usually already had the majority of what I needed because the most thorough and well-written video I could find about changing the anode rod was so easily accessible. There has never been a video that suggests one should release the pressure in the hot water tank before removing the old anode rod. The anode rod must be removed, or you will end up with a dirty, filthy explosion of rusty, gritty mineralized muck covering a 360 degree circle. Your Suburban hot water heater will have a release valve, and before removing the anode rod, you'll need to open it and let the pressure out. It wasn't clearly shown in any video I watched that the guys changing the anode rod wore goggles to protect their eyeballs, and if there was an explosion, it wasn't really There were several videos that were very choppy, making it evident that steps were missing. It was clear from all the videos I watched that each guy released the pressure in the tank, but did not record or mention that portion of the job. One thing that was never mentioned was that one has to turn off the water to the trailer before performing the task. There is a step missing from the instructions on that one that I had to figure out on my own. The RV shop repair guys may think all men and women automatically know this stuff because it is common sense to them however, for those who haven't accomplished it before, incomplete instructions can be confusing. Aside from that, why would RV repair shops want to tell you all the things that make it easy for you to maintain your RV when you could bring it to them and they would profit greatly from that? The anode rod changing was fairly simple, since I had already figured out that I ought to be wearing my oldest and rattiest everyday clothes that don't matter if they're stained or dirty. It turned out to be true. The hot water tank under the sink was release the pressure, which resulted in me getting sprayed in the face (including my eyes), hair, teeshirt, skirt, and shoes, as well as anything else in the way of the explosion in a 360 degree circle. In my case, everything I needed to care for my eyes was immediately available to me, and no harm was done to them at all. When it comes to protecting your eyes from explosions, don't forget that you will need to wear goggles if you do not have or are not aware of the pressure release valve. everybody is going to have the right tools to clean the grit and grime out of their eyes without damaging their eyes or causing infection. In the youtube videos that explain how to change the anode rod, this kind of gross negligence is shown. Even if you're a woman, this job isn't too difficult, so do not be nervous about getting started. I turned on the water again after the water tank was empty, and I let water run through the tank until all of the rust and white gritty mineral was washed away. Then, I used a screwdriver and finger to remove dirt and gunk from the anode rod opening and threads where the anode rod screws into the hot water heater. I let the water run for about 5 minutes to get the tank clean and clear. As soon as I turned the water off, I carefully wiped the threads of the anode rod with mineral oil, installed the Teflon tape on the threads of the and replaced the Since the installation, there have been no problems. The effort it takes to maintain your RV is worth it.
