Questions & Answers

I'm not asking out of ignorance, but I just have a question. Since there are so many of these on the market, can the element be used in both the upper and ?

The length of this element must fit into a pot or brew kettle of 13 gallons. Does it have a diameter of 5"? Thanks so much. ?

An element of this size can be inserted This is a pot with a 5 diameter. There are ten elements in the element list. The diameter of the square is 75 inches.

Would I be able to use a 4500w heater in one that needs 5,000w?

If you need to replace this, then you can do so. Although it may take longer for your unit to heat up due to the difference, you should not experience any other problems as a result.

Due to hard water, we had to spend more money and it was harder to get hot water
5/5

Water from a deep well has a high mineral content so it slowly builds up calcium sediment (ours looked like concrete) on the elements so over time, they use more current to heat the water to the same temperature and we start noticing that our shower times are getting An element can be divided into three types Water heaters have three power density choices high watt density, low watt density, and ultra low watt density, with high watt most likely the one that comes with a new While they all have the same wattage, the lower density ones disperse the heat over a larger surface area so the heat isn't needed to reach as high temperatures. The larger surface area and lower temperature reduce sediment buildup, which can lead to the elements lasting Our five-year-old camera has been replaced for the first time Our water heater was a year old, so we chose the low watt density model and are back to normal on the hot water. . . using less electricity, reducing shower wait times, and receiving more hot water to extend shower sessions. Initial problems occurred when the top element was unable to heat the replenishing water fast enough to get hot water to the head. If either had to be replaced, it was easy to repair them both at the same time. A little after 7 p. m. With a monthly cost of only a dollar each, they will pay for themselves in about a month, and those hot showers in the winter are appreciated. It takes time for sediment buildup and related problems to reach a point where you notice them, so ours will most likely have been bad this summer, although we tend to take cooler showers in our hot desert summers, so you won't notice it as much. It is important to note that heating rods are not perfect, so they may fail at any time without warning signs, but they are easy to replace once the tank is drained. It's best not to touch the heater element with your bare hands as the oil from your skin could cause problems and don't turn on the heater until you know the tank is completely full after refilling it. Comparable items are priced about half as much at this store as they are at the home center. Because we have a drain on our outdoor pan, flushing the sediment out of the bottom of our tanks was easy, and it should add a year to the time it takes for the tanks to rust out from the bottom, and usually result Last but not least, don't waste your money on a specialty tool before checking your toolbox, because I use Vice Grips, an adjustable wrench, a small pipe wrench, a socket and even a pair of adjustable pliers, but I prefer the 1-inch pipe wrench. I prefer 1/2 a socket, however almost anything that fits can be made to work if you are careful. There are just a few of them around 5 dollars, but if you want one of those, I also have one for about 5 dollars Despite its price, it does tend to slip off, so I always use the sockets from my large socket set instead. While I did have a filter assembly on the water tank, it was impossible not to leak every time it was replaced, and in the long run it's less expensive to replace the elements every few years instead of having to replace a canister style water filter several times each My electric hot water heater tank style has lasted for all those years. The only thing that really has changed is how much they cost. It doesn't seem so long ago you could get one for about $100. The average repair used to cost bucks but now it's much more costly, There are some inexpensive fixes that can save you a lot of money,.

The best one I can think of is this one
4/5

The element appears to have been built well. It does exactly what it's supposed to, the Due to the fast shipping method and the fact that it seems like a decent unit, I would have given it 5 stars. This is as good as anything you can purchase packaging is what took a star away from the product. While reading a review, the reviewer was complaining about the plastic. I secretly laughed at him. It has finally occurred to me what he/she was complaining about. As soon as I pulled the damn thing from all that plastic, I realized it would take me longer to install it in the water heater than it did to get it out of the plastic. Heat shrink packaging seals the element inside and around, and the plastic seals all sides of it. Getting it unwrapped from it is a real pain in the rear end. In spite of using a razor sharp knife, I was never able to remove "all" of it, but only a few small hard-to-reach fragments remained, but I gave up trying to remove it all, and simply I hope you are reading this, manufacturers. It's a great unit, but the way that it is packaged is nuts. going to go and take a hot shower now to stop whining.

The event concluded
5/5

It was purchased to replace these elements, which were installed in a Richmond water heater about 8 years ago, of the same make and model. Though the former elements were originally supplied with softened water, they held up well despite having hardness levels of 400ppm (24 grains). It was found that the existing elements were covered in a 3/16 inch heavy layer of mineral deposits when I removed them (they were still functional, though not as well as they would have been The following comments apply to *1.

The sacrificial anode in my water heater needs to be replaced every five years or so with a new magnesium rod As needed, for a period of 7 years. In the event the anode of a heating element is destroyed, the element is likely to corrode and fail quickly. 3.

According to these elements, their output is about 3700w at 240v, not 4500w at Nameplate ratings can be confusing to someone who is unfamiliar with their conventions. Only a heating element will typically operate at a wattage that is roughly 82 percent of its value in installations where the supply voltage can be up to 110% of its value It is designed to provide 4500 watts of heat at 264 volts, and only 3700 watts at 240 volts).

The concept is great, but the execution is lacking? Having found the elements at such a great price made me ecstatic
3/5

In addition to the cheap prices, there were similar ones with similar quality, so I was not worried about quality. A new element was installed on top and a new element on the bottom of for the apparatus that I purchased matched, and I drained and filled the tank correctly (I'm not new to this). Almost two weeks have passed since the elements worked great. I started noticing I was taking longer for the hot water to heat up in the shower, so I had to adjust the cold water constantly. was surprised to find that I did not have hot water the following morning. When the element has been checked with a multiple checker The meter had bad readings, so I decided to replace it. I found that the element was virtually blown apart when I removed it. In addition to the split covering, the wiring was split at various places in the internal element. As far as the product's warranty is concerned, I will contact customer service to verify it. It seems as though the bottom element is working fine. You might consider buying three just in case this is not an isolated issue.

The hot showers have returned to my life
4/5

In our apartment, the hot water would only last about 10 minutes or so when we would take showers. We had a problem with the water system. I found that these heating elements are likely to be the culprit after some research online. I just had to rip out the old crusty ones and replace them, and I was done in no time at all. That's the end of the problem. With all the hot water available now, we don't need to boil any. Before replacing these, please follow the instructions or look up a Youtube video, as you will need to turn off your electrical breaker before it is opened.
