Questions & Answers

What should I do if I have an Atwood GCH10A- I absolutely hate my current set-up ?

I think that should work on a GCH10A-based system A copy of your water heater's technical manual proved to be accurate. I am ranting Those who answer "I don't know" or "maybe" do not make any sense to me. Answer questions only if you have an idea of what you're talking about! A rant is over

This 8e) will light & run for two hours It is off for 3 minutes, after which it comes back on. On the other hand, the ignition switch no longer glows when it is turned on. ?

The parts I replaced for mine were found locally and I replaced them by accident as I lack training in this area. Regarding your situation, there are a few things to keep in mind. It will run for two hours During the third minute, based on the actual amount of water in the water heater tank, the problem may be an incorrect sensor. The sensor would trigger if the bypass of the water heater tank was left untouched and the tank was empty. Within a short period of time, the tank would get hot and the sensor would trip since it believes the water has reached the correct Observe if you are bypassing the water heater tank. If you aren't, it could be faulty sensors. Is the water heater light on your control panel that goes out when the ignition switch goes out what you mean when you say the light on the switch goes out? The protection logic may have been built into the unit to notify the user when something is not working, or there simply could be a short in the lamp, but given that it only comes on for a couple minutes, I believe the other problem to be the cause for the Hopefully I can help you out more now that I know more about what I do. Hope you have a great time!

I am seeking the following information from the vendor In your description, would it be possible to add the temperature setting for the device? According to Domic (Atwood), it is 120-120 Between 140 degrees and 145 degrees. ?

Please accept our sincere thanks for your inquiry. There is a 140 degree setting on the 91447. Please feel free to contact our Customer Support Center at [email protected] with any further questions. Please visit www.com.

Atwood thermostats are only available at 140 degrees - is there an alternative to this?

Since this type of water heater is small and has a lower capacity, it runs much hotter than a typical home water heater and can last longer when the water is hot. When you open the hot water completely, you are at risk of burning yourself.

What this set did was to repair my water heater and how it is determined whether it is an ECO or a thermostat
5/5

On my water heater board is a green LED with a black outline that is not working. Also, my gas and electric heaters would not work when they are switched on. In order to get it to come on again, I had to wiggle the thermal cut-off just before it stopped working however, that only worked twice. Once it stopped working, the light stopped coming on, and the heater stopped working as well. The article did not specify which part was which. The Thermostat and ECO are marked with a temperature in Celsius. The Thermostat is the one that says 60 C (That's 140 degrees Fahrenheit). The thermostat is located on the right side. In addition to this other part, the ECO is printed with 82 C. (About 180 degrees Fahrenheit) After installing it and plugging in the cables, both gas and electric heat were working as they should have. The situation has now been resolved, and I am a satisfied camper once This is a GCH10 - Atwood water heater You can vote Yes for this review or ask a question for more help if you found this review helpful.

This saved me a lot of money
5/5

Having spent a half hour of my time online, I am back on the road for now. A mechanic was not required, nor did I pay a service charge. The simplest way to determine whether this is the reason why your water heater is not lighting is to connect both terminals of each temperature sensor, one at a time. If your water heater lights with one or both terminals jumped, then this set will solve your It is NOT recommended to run the water heater without jumpers for any length of time. Without these, the water heater WILL overheat. The program will not harm anything if it is used for testing purposes and for a few minutes of run time. The plastic washer was difficult to get under the tabs, according to some people. use a small flat screw driver or other tool to bend out the tabs a little so that you can rotate the washer under them. With a slight tap, the tabs can be bent back into place. It's that simple. Additionally, make sure you clean the old adhesive off your old tank before you replace it with this. As an insulator, part of the old adhesive will prevent the old thermostat from working properly, or it may cause the old thermostat to blow out sooner. It has been a challenge to decide where to place each. You can see on the bottom that each one has a temperate marking. One is 160 C and the other is 190 C. The 190 is the ECO (Emergency Cut Off), and the 160 is the thermostat.

It works again after I cleaned out my old Atwood RV water heater
5/5

The ones I installed in my friend's RV water heater and the one I installed in mine both work well. A set of two thermostats is included in the kit. When your water reaches 60 degrees Celsius, the one installed on the right that has the brown wires goes off. In any case, we can try. On the left there's an emergency cut-off (red wire) connected to the left. The only function it serves is to protect you in the event that the 60 degree temperature sensor It locks them in place with a plastic disk with a notch in it. All you have to do is rotate the disk until you can insert or remove the tstats. The easiest way to place the glue-on insulating blanket over the tstats is to remove the exhaust shroud.

A great option to replace the hot water tank temperature control on the model G6A It has a capacity of 8 amps
5/5

The old ones on our 1999 Itisha worked exactly as well as these ones. Until the primary failed and the over temperature took over, the primary temperature control was the over temperature. Due to the high temperature, the water was extremely hot. Model G6A- Our RV has a lot of features This tank holds 8E of hot water. I found the installation procedure to be straightforward. The old adhesive had to be removed and replaced longer than the new ones were installed. If you decide to install these, please note the following. They are laid out on the new adhesive pad as they are supposed to be installed in the blister pack it comes in. On a thermostat, the thermostat with the lower rating will be on the left and the thermostat with the higher rating will be on the right. Each of the items has a temperature rating on its back. Place the replacement adhesive backed labels on top of them after they have been installed. For each hole, drill a hole. Simply reconnect the wires to complete the installation.

It takes only a few minutes to Your water heater is back up and running
5/5

In this ECO, we will create a T-shirt. Having the stat set for my Atwood water heater was just what I needed. As soon as I opened it, I knew which sensor to install, because the sensor set came with a new label to replace the old one and the packaging was positioned over the label so I had an idea of what that sensor placed where. It will help to remember that the higher temp signal is for the ECO (emergency cut off) and is not related to It took less than ten minutes to replace both sensors, and after installing a new PT relief valve, everything was working again as it should.

There are thermostats with defects
3/5

The water heater worked for about three weeks after I installed the thermostats. As a result, I contacted the seller, and they suggested that I jumper the wires. If I had left the jumper connected, the water heater would have overheated, releasing the safety valve. I suspected the stats to be faulty, so I disconnected the jumper and the water heater worked as usual. In the absence of a response, I disconnected the elements and requested the seller replace them. A second set of water heaters was purchased and I have no problems with it.

It's the perfect kit to use on an Atwood GC10A An alternative water heater to the 4e
5/5

I worked on the repair of an Atwood GC10A An alternative water heater to the 4e. It took me about 15 minutes to install them. The foam cover is included, as well as sensor that are tank mounted. The world could not be a better place for me. While they take a little while to insert into their respective holes, once they have been installed they It is important that you install the t stat with the electrical tabs on the right side facing the heater from outside. It is now possible to install the new sensors simply by prying the three tabs outward very slightly. Using a screwdriver, install the new sensor with the clear plastic ring underneath then, with the three tabs in place, fully push the tabs down to secure the sensor. Installation is much more straightforward with it.

It is important that you install them correctly
4/5

You don't hear it, but they do. It is important that you install them correctly. You don't hear it, but they do. Wider terminals are found on the eco thermostat. With the cutoff, the thermostat works There is a narrower terminal on the out. In the event that you install it backwards, you'll need to Despite its small size, the spade lug cannot fit on the An explanation of this is not provided in the Other than that, it is a simple process.
