A 1 1/16" SAE socket will fit 27 mm holes, or you will need a metric socket. There are almost no differences in their sizes.
The 2018 Salem will have one! I just put one into mine.
Upon measuring, it appears that the rod's diameter is 1-1/16". It is my regret that I am late in responding.
There is no need to warm up hot water, it's already warm

It has taken me about a year and a half to purchase my trailer. It did not even occur to me that it had an anode. I understand the necessity for one now, but I just didn't think of it. read an article about trailer maintenance where the anode rod was mentioned as something that needs to be checked every year. Upon waking up, I realized I'd forgotten to check mine. So I went out to the trailer and pulled out the old one, which was almost entirely gone!" My old one has been replaced with a new one. To prevent galling or sticking, you need to use the Teflon tape that comes with it. A rusted anode and a rusted fitting will rust together over time.
V. , I realized I had several RVs to maintain in the family. The anode of the water heater just inside the tank had quite a bit of corrosion. Those sets of two new anodes are a perfect fit and I am glad I purchased the set. With the next one now under my belt, I will be ready to take on the next one. Teflon tape that came with the anodes was very thin, so I chose to use one that was a little thicker, and it worked well. My T is in good hands with this anode.
Whenever you try to screw into the threaded hole, the other end keeps pulling them down, which will cross thread the When I use a socket with a 1 1/16th hex and an extension, it gives the leverage to start it easily.
These are exactly what I needed for my Suburban water heater. An anode is not required if you do not have one. Don't wait to get.
My first reaction was to laugh because I was asked to rate "sheerness" and "warmth" on a scale of 1 to 10. This is a 5 star rating. Is that so? Even though I'm still laughing, I'm worried.
Those will work perfectly with our 'old' trailer and our fifth wheel, but not with our 'new' trailer, since there's something blocking their use.
I use this anode rod for replacing the anode rod in our travel trailer water heater every year. I recommend it as a replacement every year because it is a good price.
My only wish is that a socket was included so I could remove and install it. To loosen and tighten it, I had to use my tire iron, which worked quite well as I had plenty of leverage.
