"Thoughts creeping through the cracks in the wall. " Mine had a lot of substance. My original had cracked, resulting in a leak between the valve and the quick disconnect, so I'll have to leave the valves open until the winter freeze passes. br>br>I like it; it performs as expected. I swapped out a white one for a black one because it cost less money. It doesn't matter what color you are. Here's the deal: this valve attaches to my Montana through a 1/2" board. This item has a 1-star rating. Back stems are 1/2" in diameter. The longer 2" stems were a must for me. On Amazon, I couldn't find a valve with a longer stem. It was a big deal because this valve's back stems were shorter than the existing valve's 2" stems. It was annoyingly difficult to attach due to the cluster of fittings used during the original assembly. I had to make some changes to the plumbing. It took a few hours because I had to rush to the hardware store to get fittings. I was able to reduce the number of adapters/fittings used in the end. I'm employed in a field that deals with fluid connectors on a regulatory level. As a result, minimizing possible leak points or connection points is always crucial. Because there were fewer fittings, I was able to make it work better for me.

I bought it to replace my never-ending pair of boots. Instead of using a wye/splitter, I used an outdoor shower with a faucet and occasionally washed the dog with warm water or took care of other outdoor chores. So far, I'm very pleased, and the installation went smoothly. It takes some effort to insert the quick connect hose adapter into the outlet, but I suppose that's preferable to having it too loose. Remember to purchase a hose adapter:

It worked out perfectly! When my old faucet broke, I discovered that a plastic plate had been inserted in the valve stem, preventing it from delivering adequate flow. It also caused a problem where water became trapped, causing the faucet to break during the winter (ice). This model does not have a plastic restrictor plate, and water flows much better than the one that came with my Jayco Eagle trailer.
